Hi everyone!

I just wanted to start a forum for all who applied to OHSU's ABSN-MSN/DNP program for 2018-2019. I thought it could be helpful to stay updated with interviews, admission decisions, or sharing stats in order to improve applications the following year.

I applied for the Psych ABSN-DNP Track!

I just got a call from OHSU today saying that they added 2 spots to the ABSN to PNP program and offered me a spot!! :) I already put my deposit in for the ABSN program at UPenn, but I think this will change things a bit!

@chrissy3562 Thanks for the update, that's super disappointing to hear, I guess I was just depending on this forum to have someone posting when they were accepted but now I feel like I was just waiting for no reason. :(

I called Sarah on Friday and found out that I'm an alternate. I *think* that all of the first choice people have been contacted by now.

Oh....

Exactly amimu.

Finally received my "no thanks" email from OHSU. I hadn't realized how rejected and devastated I'd feel. Turns out I'd started to see a soon-to-be midwife in the mirror and now I see a failure. But! I'll be trying again next year. Congratulations to everyone who got in, hope you have a great year!

@amynata I know exactly what you mean, I feel like I'd be less disappointed if I hadn't gotten the interview, so I wouldn't have gotten my hopes up. But most people don't get in their first application cycle anyway, so you got this, it's okay, we'll get in next year! Also, sorry I never updated, she never got back to me.

Hi,

I was selected as an alternate and was just checking it to see if you had gotten any more information. It seems like it is getting late for other fist choice folk to accept. I'm in a tight spot because I have a lot of pre-res to finish in spring if I was admitted.
