Hey I applied to the OHSU 3 year traditional program as well for this fall 2019. Similar to you, I also have my bachelors but in science. Unfortunately I don’t have the best overall GPA in it. I graduated with a 2.9 GPA. Luckily for me, my prerequisites GPA is a 3.82. I do still have to take my A&P II and Lifespan which I am currently taking but I have an A in both those classes as of now. Hopefully that still makes me a competitive candidate. OHSU is my top choice as well.
We have similar stories! I’m also an older (39) mama of a 3 y/o, and I have a non traditional background. It’s taken me a while, but all my prereqs are done. I really hope I get into a program this year. I applied to the 3-yr BSN at OHSU and Linfield. I admit my anxiety level is pretty high these days since I know too well what rejection feels like.

I hope we both get in! I haven’t applied to Linfield yet, but will. I would have to still take Chemistry for them, though. ? I’d rather not.

Your pre-req GPA is great! And having our bachelors degree is definitely a bonus for the 3-year program. I have all my pre-reqs done except for Microbiology (taking now) and Nutrition (taking in Spring).
I also applied to the 3-year program! Sounds like I'm similar situation as a lot of you. I have a previous bachelors degree (Latin American Studies), with a 2.8 GPA (which has been the death of my applications at other schools) and a 3.8 pre-requisite GPA. All of my classes are finished except for Micro, which I'm currently taking. I have around 1,500 hours of health care experience as an EMT and clinic assistant.
The application was EXTENSIVE! Not sure how I felt about my essays, but I guess time will tell. I've been rejected by two schools already, and I'm on an alternate list for another... feeling very ready to be done with applications! Good luck, everyone ?

Based off what I've read in forums from previous cohorts, it sounds like the interview emails have historically been sent out mid-march. I can't find anything on the OHSU website to confirm that, though. Ahhh the waiting kills me!

It was the last day to do it, but I OFFICIALLY SUBMITTED MY APPLICATION TO OHSU!!!! ?
Anyone else applying for this cohort?
A little about me: I am an older, non-traditional student, single Mama with 8 and 13 year old boys! I currently hold a BA in Psych. I wanted to apply to the ABSN, however, my Statistics class is over 7 years old, and it was also a C. ? I will just have to retake it, if I end up needing to apply next year. This is also my very first application cycle. ?
I feel like OHSU is definitely my top choice, but I will also be applying to Linfield, and possibly Concordia (only because they have an accelerated program, and seem to offer more start dates.
Now the waiting begins!!!! ? ?
