Anyone else applying for Fall 2015 BSN program at OHSU?
I am getting my application together now, but I wont be able to finalize or submit it until after December when fall term grades are posted. I am only applying to OHSU, specifically the Monmouth campus. I currently have a 3.93GPA and after Fall term I will have all but two prerequisites finished. The remaining two are Writing-122 and Nutrition.
I think I have a pretty competitive application but there is still a lot of doubt.
I have experience working in long term care and also as an EMT in an under served rural community. I know I will also get extra consideration for having already taken Microbiology.
I know we are still months away from interviews or acceptance letters but it would be nice to get the conversation started and get to know others who will be applying for 2015.
Did anybody apply for the Klamath campus? I'm cleaning up my gpa currently so I didn't apply this round; currently I have all of the prereqs done, BI231-233 with A's (first time go's, no retakes), english with A's however I have B's in statistics (which was a miracle, not retaking that one most likely), developmental psych and my humanities -- will retake the humanities this summer/fall, enrolled in nutrition and microbio this spring semester with a goal to apply 2016.
Looking at the range of GPA's accepted by the different OHSU campuses, I'm thinking I'm applying to the Klamath one based on the number of applicants to slots and the GPA accepted, its twice the drive than the Ashland campus but twice the acceptance rate.
Also, does anybody know if there is any specific preference given to male candidates or veterans? I've heard other schools consider both towards acceptance. Thanks, and good luck to you 2015 applicants!
I was holding out a teeny tiny bit of hope that maybe more e-mails would go out today but NOPE! I thought about calling to see if they had all gone out but I just couldn't do it! I am feeling pretty bummed out but I know there's a reason for everything and I trust my time will come and it will be the right time for me and my kids! Good luck to you all! I'm still waiting to hear from PCC too. They say they will send out emails in early April. Anyone applying to Lane? Theyshould be sending out emails later this month.
Also I think we have a 50/50 shot at getting in once we interview for OHSU right? Number of interviews vs. number of accepted applicants is about that ratio?

Thanks! I was accepted to UP and WWU (Portland). I'm still waiting to hear from PCC and CCC. But I'm pretty committed to attending Walla Walla barring OHSU acceptance. It's such a bummer the admission process is so staggered for different programs.
Congratulations! I hear you regarding the emotional part....I found out yesterday that I landed an interview at OHSU La Grande campus next month. I seriously cried when I received the email!
