OHSU BSN PDX program applicants - 2010

Published

Hi,

Anyone else out there getting anxious to hear from OHSU's Portland campus for their BSN program? They said they'll notify in early May which is still a month away, but I just want to know now! It's my first time applying and the only program that I applied to this year, so I'm not counting on it.

Good luck to everyone!

:)

As an alternate for Ohsu KFalls, I have not heard anything yet. To be honest with you, I am not waiting either. Placement on the alternate list boosted my morale, but that's about it.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. Did you apply anywhere besides ohsu?

Yeah, to PCC and Mt Hood with 4Bs, and to Clackamas CC with 3Bs.

I also applied to Centralia CC, but their selection process is clear as mud. Not sure what will happen there.

Yea, i know what you mean. I applied to Clackamas CC too. I had an interview on friday and i'm not sure what will happen either. Hang in there!I think Clackamas will send out their letters on tuesday. I'm getting nervous now...:uhoh3:

Summer, how do you feel about your performance at the CCC interview?

I am not nervous about their decision, I applied with 53.52 points, bombed the essay (30 minutes was not enough for me, even though I prepared for it), and was shaking at the interview.

Yes the days do drag on!!! I'm waitlisted for Monmouth and am wondering how I'm supposed to get down there if I don't get called until right before term!! Anyway...I hope I get a call June 16th!! Haha! :) Good luck to everyone! Post if you get a call in June or anytime after!

I feel the same way about KFalls. It would be possible financially if I started working double shifts from May 5th until classes start. With last minute notice, I have a feeling that even if I say yes, I would have to eventually decline. Honestly,I don't want to be in that position.

Well, i had 59.1 points. The essay part sucked because it didn't seem enough time. I answered all of the questions, but i wish i had more time to be more in depth. The interview... i'm not sure...i was nervous a little. I hope it went well. We'll see i guess. How about you?

There's a good chance that if you're going to be called, it will be in the end of June and classes start the last week of September. So, while it's possible to have a last minute call, it's not as likely as getting called in June.

Well two more weeks! I am hopeful!

Summer, we should be getting letters today or tomorrow. It is hard to have an objective opinion about the interview.

I don't know if everyone was as nervous as I was. I felt that toward the end I was applying for a CNA job, not a spot at a nursing program. Even though I feel that my skills and experiences are extremely valuable, from my experience, nursing and a job of CNA don't really have much in common.

I hope that's the case!! I'm not going to count on getting a call...but I don't really care when it is. I will find a way to move if I get the opportunity to have a spot this fall!

Larisa, I agree with your last comment. I PM you earlier not sure if it went through?
