Hi,
Anyone else out there getting anxious to hear from OHSU's Portland campus for their BSN program? They said they'll notify in early May which is still a month away, but I just want to know now! It's my first time applying and the only program that I applied to this year, so I'm not counting on it.
Good luck to everyone!

Basically, you get a feel of what a nursing job would be like and you help people too. By working as a CNA you can test yourself if you are suitable for the health care environment. I've seen myself so many people finish their CNA and then work for 1.5 week and quit. That should tell you something.I think if it's not in your heart "helping people" then you can't force yourself to do so. Good luck on your letter!I hope you get in
Summer, I feel like I tested myself plenty. Today was my 2-year anniversary working in LTF, and I worked at 3 other ones for total of 8 months when I was 19y.o.
Due to the high turnover, I have personally encountered/closely worked with at least a 100 nurses, and I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I just can't wait to join the ranks of very good ones, and practice health care at higher standards than than what I sometimes observe.

Hi Larisa,
I agree that CNA and nursing are different, but you are around nurses and you work with them in the health care facility.
