Hi, first post because I cannot find that much information about this!
Apps recently opened to OHSU's BSN program. I haven't decided if I want to apply to Ashland or Monmouth - I am currently in California (don't hate me Oregonians) but most of my family live close to those two campuses.
Anyone else start their application for OHSU yet?
Also - Any tips for essay question responses? I have a 3.9 GPA in the prereqs and overall, finished all prereqs, and have 4000+ hours of healthcare experience as a medical assistant, but I feel like I still might screw it up if I flub those responses.

Such as the school year has been going on for a couple of semesters and for whatever reason a student had to drop their program. I am asking because I live near the Portland campus but applied to a different one to increase my chances of being accepted. I would really like to decrease my travel time if possible.
No, that is the whole point of picking a campus. If a spot opened up an Alternate for that campus would/should get it.

A member of my cohort switched campuses and another was allowed to switch to the ASBN program to finish early, both for very personal reasons. It’s possible, but not for something like wanting to be closer to home.

And if so were u highly likely, moderate, or low to get accepted. I want to be realistic about my options. Please let m elbow thanks

I was just put on the alternate list myself. Is this the same as the waitlist? Bummer, but I know it’s real competitive. Mine didn’t say likely, moderate or anything.

I am also curious about this. I am somewhat likely. Which seems like isn’t likely I’ll get a spot but I am curious how many people are on the waitlist for each category.

I am somewhat likely also. I think that I don’t have a chance to get in this year. I’ll try it next year.

I had a 3.75 prereq GPA, four years work experience as a DSP for adults with developmental disabilities, 132 volunteer hours, BLS certificed, and OIS certified
I applied to nursing school last year and didn’t get in. I was able to use the extra year to get my BLS certification and get more work experience. Good luck on next year’s application!
