OHSU BSN Fall 2017

Hi all I just thought I would start this, since there doesn't appear to be anything started for the Fall 2017 3 year BSN at OHSU. Feel free to update as you get emails regarding interviews, acceptances, etc. This week it looks like everyone should be hopefully getting a email hearing something if they are chosen for a interview. I wonder if due to the lack of any posts for the Fall 2017 that means that competition isn't as fierce as in prior cycles... this is probably not the case. But it seems like the cohort has been alot more quite then in the past.

I got my point total from CCC. Does anyone know what the cut off was for previous years?

I was wondering that myself. I'm trying to figure it out by looking at old threads. How many points did you have Jmae? I was really lacking on the discretionary points (no experience with a certification).

same. I'm missing 10 points from discretionary. Not feeling very hopeful.. I do have experience as a CNA though. What about you?

I had a total of 47.84 points with a 3.91 GPA, not sure that is enough?!? Ugh, so nervouse because I have heard such amazing things about the program at CCC.

Mine is 50 points, but don't think I will be getting an invite.

Good job! I wish we had an idea of what to expect, do they look only on point totals or where the points came from (i.e. GPA, experience etc). I wish like some of the other schools we can see the stats from the last few years and see where we stand. I had the points for GPA, A&P being finished, all 45 pre-req's being done and I think that was it. I hope you get a invite! Please keep us posted.

Thank you, I hope you do get an invite as well. My relative got in on how 3 rd try at CCC, but he did have to get a job as a CNA to get additional points. But of course that was a few years ago and maybe they calculate points differently now. Good luck to all!

Wow! Good for you- 54 points is great. Seems like my mere 47.84 isn't going to cut it. I truly wish each of you best of luck- here's hoping we all get asked to interview but happy for everyone who gets the invite to do so. Please keep everyone posted- anxious until week of 4/10!

For those wondering about points at CCC, I had 51.48 points last year and was invited for an interview. It varies each year depending on the competiveness of those applying. Good luck!
