OHSU ABSN 2021

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone else is applying for the ABSN at OHSU for 2021? I just submit my application for the Ashland campus and would love to connect with other people who are applying! I'm feeling pretty nervous about how competitive the program is ?

I mean if everyone here is going for ashland then maybe odds for portland will be better xD

Hi All! I'm currently working on my application right now. I noticed the NursingCAS application has a "Supporting Info" section. Is this section required as part of the OHSU application? I just don't remeber it being mentioned in any of the OHSU information sessions.

Hey all! I finished my application for fall 2021 in Portland! It was a pretty long process on NursingCas, and definitely seems super competitive!

Hello everyone! Is anyone else struggling to answer the essay questions? I tend to be an over thinker and perfectionist which is a deadly combination when trying to write. LOL. Did you all find it easy to answer them?

Yesss I've read and re-read mine over and over. I didn't get to do as much volunteer work this year as I hoped so I'm also struggling with that question. might just send it and hope for the best at this point LOL

Yeah, I’m getting close to just submitting it and hope for the best as well! This pandemic has made it hard for everyone on so many aspects! Good luck to everyone!!

Hi everyone! does anyone know how many people typically apply to the Portland campus and how many spots they have?

This is what they sent me when I requested information about the program:

Here are some statistics from our last application cycle:

·         Portland: 515 applicants/ 24 spots for Summer, 32 spots for fall

·         Ashland: 135 applicants/ 27 spots for Summer

I believe the numbers of spots are slightly different this year but I can’t remember what it is exactly. I know they are adding a Winter cohort for Portland as well so there are more slots than last year. Hope that helps!

@mlange can I ask what you submitted as the CV ? did you do a typical "work" cover letter?

Hi! I didn't submit an actual CV or resume because I don't see a spot to do so... the only place I wrote about my work experience and extra curriculars was in the "Essay Questions" section on NursingCas!

I actually emailed them about this yesterday, they said to skip it, it's just part of the NCAS template.
