I can’t find a thread for this program so figured I would start one. I was wondering if anyone has got a confirmation their application was received?

The FAQs on the SON website say "a few weeks" after interviews, so I'm pretty sure we'll be hearing 3 weeks after just like the Portland folks!

It takes about three weeks, some people hear back in two weeks. I can't say for sure because I'm not any part of the decision making process but acceptance letters are sent out via email.

Some years, every person who receives a letter accepts their spot in the program. A few years ago there were more declines and in the third and fourth week after interviews acceptance letters for people on the waitlist were still being sent out. After all the spots are filled the final emails are sent out to let all interviews without acceptance letters that spots have been filled.

Last year I was sent a waitlist email (which was ranked in some way, likely, most likely) and then an acceptance email a week later. Communication at OHSU is great during this process, call anytime they will tell you what they can!

I'm in group 2a for Portland, Thursday morning.

Anyone have an idea of how they formed the groups? I put winter cohort as my preference, will groups be made of candidates which put the same cohort as their preference, or is it randomly assigned?

I’m in 2B!

I doubt they coordinated the groups that way but it’s totally possible! I stated I’d prefer Summer but that I would consider Fall and Winter.

@futurenurseis congratulations! I got a call on 02/14 for acceptance into the ABSN FNP program as well. The turn around seemed so quick, still in disbelief... Finally made an account on here because I’m really curious to know who else got in! Looking forward to meeting my fellow classmates!

Maybe they might have another wave today (1 week out)? I’m not sure. I think generally they aim to invite people with 2ish weeks notice to their interviews though. You could always call/email admissions and ask just in case!

Yes I did. I called today and they said there may be people who may still opt to decline their invitation to interview, but for the most part they've filled all their spots. They will send out an email after it's all said and done to those who did not get an invite. I just want to figure out what went wrong so I can try to fix it and have a better change Spring or fall. It was my first attempt so I'm not too bummed out. I'll make the best out of my Summer and try to be more prepared next time!

On that note, I'd love to hear how interviews go so I can get an idea of what to expect in the future. ?

I would love to meet everyone in the cohort too! I think I'm going to start and make a facebook group to see maybe people can look that up and join so we can get to know each other ?
