I noticed that in the application as well. They have an FAQ about it that doesn't quite cover it but from what I understand "Accelerated BS in Nursing MN/DNP-FNP Portland Summer 2016" this is the only application you need to fill out if you are interested in the Accelerated BSN to either Masters or DNP. I am not sure how you apply to both or declare which particular program you are interested in. Perhaps you are admitted all the way to DNP and can choose to stop at Masters if you want.

I just asked one of the advisors, and she said that you specify which you want in the essay and the supplemental application. I wonder if they prefer one over the other though.
hey y'all - is there a more general Accelerated BSN to msn 2016 applicants group? I'm having trouble finding one but I'm trying for the FNP!
Just submitted my application last week! So exciting. Did you all hear about the essay change from admissions? They sent me an email to say there had been a mix up with NursingCAS, and the essays can actually be a max of 700 words (instead of 350 like the online application says). Still trying to decide if I'm going to expand on mine, since they said I could update them.

Hi everyone!
I just started my application for OHSU's ABSN-MSN/DNP in Midwifery program, so I figured I should start a thread like there was for previous cohorts since I have a bunch of questions about the application.
To start: I noticed that there is only one application for admission to both programs (ABSN-MSN and ABSN-DNP), does the single application cover both programs? Or would I need to apply twice if I were to apply to both? Is it possible to apply to both?
I originally was only going to apply to the ABSN-MSN program, but if the ABSN-DNP is also an option I wouldn't mind also applying to it. Though I would assume the ABSN-DNP competition is tougher than the ABSN-MSN, is that true? Or are there less applicants making it less competitive?
I would love really any insight on the programs and the application processes!
