Paper done.......Ready for week 2?????

I am so thankful this $%#&*@ class is only 5 weeks long. I bombed on the mod 1 paper and have lost motivation. Thanks to the fabulous IT dept I didn't even get into the class until last Thur evening. I busted my hump and got a horrible grade...the worst grade I've received since majoring in "beer" in 1980. I can't believe it. I either need a tissue or a drink. This sucks. :crying2:

Get both the tissue AND the drink. You were the underdog for this assignment and wrote it under great stress. Don't beat yourself up over it. Remember I,too, was failing Transitions after the quizzes and got the A. The discussion board will pick you up and I think the next paper is more cut and dry topic. You can do this!!! Everybody here got me thru that scary time :-)...

What happened? I have a bad feeling about this paper myself - we have no grades yet but I am sure none of us will like them.

I don't have my grade yet----Now I'm really nervous!! I have had a bad feeling since I submitted this paper :(

It's ALL about what TA you get...ALL about that.

I got dinged on some spacing errors that I still don't really see but I guess the high tech super-cyber-whiz-bang-whatchamacallit gizmo picked up these teency errors. I needed more detail on the standards and my BON, 3-4 pages mind you... A 3-4 page paper that is to summarize this stuff. I am sick!:cry:

I wish all of these TAs/instructors graded equally.

Steph..You might need to just bite the bullet and deem yourself as leader. Start answering all of the questions and ask group for input. Remember this is "your" grade, regardless of who does/doesn't respond. I didn't get too caught up on those classmates that were slackers. Yeah they got a free ride, but I was more concerned on getting a good grade vs a slacker classmate. Figured their laziness would catch up w/them sooner or later....

Also your TA is seeing the board, so they "know" who is or isn't contributing. Something to also remember....

I have already answered ALL of the questions, suggested a leadership schedule, etc - no one is responding..... what else can I do???

Unholy Crap - now I am worried about that darn paper grade - I have the same TA that busted my booty in Culture ugggggghhh

I thought that was way too much information to provide detailed examples about in a 3-4 page paper!!!!

If no one chimes in by tomorrow morning, contact your TA. Most in my group responded by Wed. Had 1 skater that seemed to always chime in during the final hour when stuff was already done….Like Oh darn, did I miss being assigned to do something…Have to laugh about it now…LOL

I can't laugh...period. There is something wrong with this system. Slackers skate in last and win...hard work is evaluated based on subjective standards. In another section I may have at least received a passing grade. Honestly guys, it wasn't a horrible paper. If it was I would admit it. :argue:

Aggghh, I am soooo jealous that you got that far in your group already - We now have 3 posters, but no confirmed leader...

Hi Stephparm,

I think we might be in the same group. I realize that we have similar schedules and was hoping for someone else to be group leader. Well after sending a note to our TA about our issues . Her reply was as follows: "The directions says they have to 7 pm tonight and then post in the final group posting with the group names - I will know who participates" Based on that information, I volunteered that I will be group leader this week. So I will compile a draft using only the discussion submitted up to 7pm tonight. This way we will be back on track.
