Ohio State University(OSU) Traditional-entry MSN Fall 2020

Hello All,

I am looking to connect with others who are applying to OSU's Traditional-Entry MSN program for Fall 2020 admission. Or, if anyone out there is currently in the program or recently graduated, I would love to hear your input on the school!

I am planning to apply to the PMHNP and have a BS in Biology and am completing an ADN in nursing currently. I am also a mental health technician on an inpatient psychiatric unit.

Advice, information, and encouragement for all current applicants is what I am hoping this thread is able to provide. Please introduce yourself and add anything you like relevant to the OSU MSN traditional-entry programs.

Really? Wow, that was quick! I wasn’t expecting any notification until late February. What program did you apply for and did you receive an email as well? I am checking the application portal and am still seeing pending.

I applied for PMHNP. I was counting on late February, as well, but I certainly won't argue with mid January!

I was surprised that there was no e-mail initially, but I went to the Buckeye Link site and they had a link to Accept/Decline. After I accepted, the office of Graduate and Professional Admissions sent an e-mail.

Cbus93 - I applied for the online, full-time traditional PMHNP and am from out of state. Still waiting and portal says pending.

I applied to Peds Primary Care NP and am nervous about getting a decision. I'm hoping I get in.

I have not heard of many other applicants to that specialty on this forum. I am a little anxious about my pending decision as well, but think that is normal at this stage in the process. Did you happen to apply to any other programs? I hope you get in too and wishing you the best of luck! Let me know if your status changes at any point.

Has anyone heard anything lately? I know a few said they got their notification. Thinking may be a rolling process? Three weeks left till deadline for acceptance notifications. ??
