  1. I don't know about that. I do know two years ago when we did group interviews majority of the people in my group interview were accepted. We had about 5-6 people in our interview and 5 of them became my classmates.
  2. I think they had some behavioral questions (I.e. name a situation when you had to think critically, etc.). They also just wanted to know more about you as an unique individual. What brought you to nursing? Why nursing? What skill/qualities do you feel make you an ideal candidate for an accelerated program? What does evidence based practice mean and how would you apply it to your own nursing practice? etc. They want to see how you can think and process information on the spot while also paying attention to thoughtfulness in your replies. Good luck!
  3. Prepare as if it is a job interview. They want to see a candidate who is put together and demonstrates that they can handle the stress of the program and the time commitment especially. Draw from personal experiences when they ask questions. Good luck!
  4. I found the questions and prompts they had on the website to be very helpful in narrowing down what to speak about in my statement. They want to see linking of all the questions to overall career and professional goals.
  5. I would be interested in your experience in the program. Can you PM me? It would be great to hear from someone who has been experiencing the program!
  6. Congratulations! Still waiting to hear from FNP BSN-DNP....Did you receive any scholarship info with your acceptance?
  7. Please let me know or private message me, if you have any more program/post-program specific questions.
  8. I would try to stay ahead of all the assignments as much as possible. It is not crucial to have a job as a PCA/STNA before working as an RN but it is helpful. I would also, get ahead of the job hunt, start reaching out to area recruiters for the three major hospitals (when looking at jobs make sure you understand that the shifts). When preparing for the NCLEX, try UWorld and possibly Buszta Review Course (if you prefer in-class learning).
  9. The interview was not bad at all, it was pretty relaxed, we did a group interview. I graduated from the program almost two years ago though and the process may have changed.
  10. Please let me know if any of you guys have heard anything from the FNP Full-Time/Part-Time program. Thanks!
