OHIO Nurses what part of Ohio are you from and what kind of nurse are you/will you be

Hi everyone, just trying to get some posts goin on in our OHio chat room, im from cincy and i want to be a travel nurse eventually...i also want to specialize in pediatrics maybe become an NP sometime in the future....

Northwest Ohio here, male nursing student...interested in nursing informatics and lately have been thinking about ICUs...

Actually I went to review class that was excellent, it was given by a man named Mark Klimek. He gives you two workbooks so I only studied from them.

I'm from the Dayton area and will be graduating next month with my LPN. :w00t: Right now I'm looking at a LTCF by my home for about a year..plan to go back for my RN after my hubby is done with school. I'd love to work in LAD after I get my RN...toying with the idea of being a Midwife when I'm a bit older, but only time will tell where I actually end up.:)

I'm an OB RNC currently working on an High Risk OB unit with a bed capac ity of 28 patients (which we had yesterday) . I'm one of the "charge nurses" and have been working in this OB department for 25 1/2 years. I've worked postpartum,L&Dand now High Risk. I live in Sandusky and work agency in and around Cleveland. I work in the ICU's and ER. You mentioned traveling so I thought I would tell you I did it for almost 8 years and loved every minute of it. I tell everyone they should do it. The only reason I have stopped is becuase I start CRNA school this fall!!:balloons:

I am from Chillicothe, went to Hocking College in Nelsonville et I work in a LTC facility. I have been floor nurse, RN Supervisor on the Rehab Unit et I now do MDS assessments.

LOL. I still want to be a travel nurse. I graduated and now i'm working in the neuro ICU in PHX, AZ for over a year now...lol...def. don't want peds anymore...stiill may do NP in the future:) How is the weather in cincy guys?? I miss Ohio!
