oh, I got a date...

not with my hubby, but with the CPNE! I am headed to Racine, WI on Oct 23rd. I am a bit nervous at this point, but I know it will get worse! It also happens to be on my sister's due date so I have prepared her for the fact that I will not be there if she in fact delivers that weekend. I'm just excited for this thing to finally be over with! Oh and It only took 3 weeks to get my date...:sstrs:

Wow, 3 weeks??? They're really speeding things up! Congrats!! I know you'll rock it. :D

Congrats on your date! I test in a little under 3wks.:heartbeat Every other day, my nerves get a little razzled. I am on break from cpne studying til June 28th. I am doing into to world religion. But starting Monday morning, my patients will become cpne bound! (I do homecare, so I can actually do a whole entire PCS from start to finish) I will let u know if my heart stays in my chest 1wk before I go and marry the beast.

Good luck!

It's good that you work home care and can practice so much. I work ER so it's a little hectic to try and complete a PCS!

Good luck to you. I ended up changing my date because my job is so stressful I couldn't dedicate the time to study for CPNE. I got a date in Utica for Aug 14-16 and ended up changing for anytime after the end of Sept.

I'll be taking a three month break off work (Med/Surg) and I will be doing home care solely just to study for CPNE. I'm wishing all of us future testers much luck and success.

I know! I thought it was weird that I got one so soon, but I did put down that I would go anywhere in MPAC and on a cancellation list.

Best of luck!!!!

Congratulations to all above posters who are closing in on the finish line!!!!!! I failed 1st CPNE in Feb, passed in MAY. KNOW your critical elements frontwards, backwards and inside out. Prepare 5-6 careplans that can be manipulated for any PCS and MEMORIZE THEM. Prepare a grid with mneumonics that work for you, keep them simple but complete and MEMORIZE THEM. The actual PCS is not rocket science, but you have to do it their way. Know that there are many of us here that can answer your questions, check out your careplanning, calm your nerves, and cheer you on!!
