I am so excited about starting the nursing program and thought it would be fun to see who else is excited!! Tell everyone what school you will be attending, what was your GPA, and TEAS score. Fall 2011 RRRRROOOOLLLLLL CCCCAAAALLLL:yeah::yeah::yeah:

I will be attending GPC, my GPA was 3.8, and my TEAS V score was 82%!

I start Aug 29! Going to CSN! Um 80% on my Teas and a 3.6 GPA.

@ Twinmom06 - did your tuition pay for these items? I know most schools will include the sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, bandage scissors, and penlight. I did not know for sure until I received my books, scrubs and these items together in the mail.

You should have seen me opening and going through the box! I felt like a kid during the holidays! :anpom:

There was also a nifty name tag clip and long fabric key chain with the school logo to boot. :yeah:

I also had ordered a pare of close toed clogs but when I went to the new student nursing orientation, found out we have to wear white tennies instead. :uhoh3: Oh well, I ended up finding some really comfy ones on sale that I really like. Will just have to put the other pair away for now and maybe I can use them some day when I land my first nursing job!

In ontario( Canada) we don't test for Nursing anymore we go by high school adv. Being said you need a 97% or higher to get into the program , this term was the hardest with over 750 people applying for just 1 small class. I did make it so I'll be doing two years so I can become a RPN then wait a few years and go back to become a RN though I have been told I can do the BScN online which would be a lot better.

Specializes in Family Nurse Practitioner.

GWCC in New Haven, CT. My stats were good enough to get in! I'm super excited, its all I think about.

Great, but what if you are a non-traditional student? I am sorry but I am not sure what a RPN is, could you please explain? Congrats on your future endeavors.

Congrats to everyone who will be starting this year also. Should be a great couple of years.
