  1. Some guy how has a known bad attitude, was talking about me after class to a class mate. This guy is really rude, he hates when people ask questions, speak in class basically he isn't good with people. He's just plain rude. Our classes are set up so that if you have a comment or question the instructors actually encourages it. Anyway's apparently he hated the fact that I have talked to the teacher during bio on break about broken bones( I talked about bone cells being shown to multiply in creatine and that it's being used for bone and muscle mass) even though we were on break, he was telling someone I was opinionated and loud, talkative and needed to shut my mouth. This shocks me as I rarely say anything in class during teaching, never talk to class mates during lecture. I sometimes ask questions though we are told we should, if you ask questions and fail the teachers could still pass you as long as you contributed to class discussion. My big thing is do I confront him even though he has done this to other people or should I let it slide... I was thinking of telling him he'd get further if he actually told me his issues rather talking about me to other people.
  2. HAHA! I just found out a guy in my class is peeved off that I(also issues with other people)ask questions or have comments. What's funny as it rarely happens, he can't stand people who have english as a second language asking for clarity either. Apparently he hates me as well ,as he doesn't like my comments or questions even though they were in context and short, someone caught him saying I should shut up my mouth after a discussion with a teacher during a break which didn't interfere with lecture time and it was also on topic. He does get peeved at all questions though, very entertaining when in a boring lecture as he thows himself around and moans when people ask anything. IDK no one else is bothered bout questions and comments but like I said they are really just maybe 10-15 mins worth tops in a 3 hour class. We always get all our lectures finished though so I see no problem with it.
  3. My goggles fell off while in my mid term while getting a patient into a wheelchair. I figured as I couldn't safely leave the patient as i was standing her up that I should continue without the glasses as putting them back on increases the risk as my hands were dirty from touching the patient and i would have had to doff then don again to get clean gloves on that are kept outside the room not possible with a patient unsafe (standing up).I placed her in the wheelchair, gave her the call bell and exited the room.My instructor was upset the googles fell off but what was i supposed to really do? I did all the other skills good though my lab instructor makes me nervous for some reason .
  4. My school has a new state of the art lab, great except I have to pretend the sim people are real people. I seem to lack imagination or something and can't get over the fact they are fake.I also have a tough time with my intro into the room. I seem to get tongue tied with the introductions I have no idea why. Also we break up into groups and are assigned lab tecs. My lab tec is very tough within reason but I was partnered up with her. We are a small group and I'm an odd one out. This would be fine but I feel she's very critical of me, I feel like I'm getting tested on everything though this is a trial and error time in lab. Of course she deducted marks off of me as my pants kept falling down, I've been losing weight how the heck was I supposed to know I lost weight and the scrubs were now ill fitting if I have to change at school . Well I cried on the way to the scrub store and bought a pair new pair of scrubs, a size smaller and with a drawstring. It bothers me that I'll lose marks but I guess I will have to just try harder next week(though I feel i did ok on most of todays lab), btw I am going to the lab this weekend to practice not feeling so clumsy;)
  5. Apparently your school wanted people to sit in the same seats, this could be so the teachers recognize you if your class is big. Someone needs to get kicked out period. THere is no room at all in the nursing practice to do such immature stunts. Do we honestly want someone with such immaturity to be responsible for another human. I say print the email, give it to the teach then wash your hands of it.
  6. On the way home today from my second lab day I made my self repeat :good morning mr. Tree(or anything I passed), I'm Tina and I will be your nurse today. For some reason it was hard to spit that out.
  7. 60% is a pass in all classes but not math that's needs to be 80% but it's only 1 test.
  8. Dr's do the same thing. My DD was in the hospital and a group of dr's started to look over her, after the check up they remarked she looked good for an car accident victim. She was never in an accident, they got the wrong side! Never did they even ask my DD's name!
  9. I heard vapor rub works, I'm going to try that soon;)
  10. I'm doing a 2 year RPN and then doing 2 years distance learning. This is my first year, my tuition per semester is $2500.
  11. If you are having trouble with the basics search out youtube videos, many are dumbed down for younger kids yet have helped me.
  12. It depends, your a patient if you are getting care(such as in a hospital) but a client if you are getting educated like when a health nurse comes to your home to give you information on newborn care, not that the child is sick but as a prevention. I would think it would be the same with some clinics too, such breast feeding or anti smoking.
  13. Thank you. This teacher had to complicate things the first day!
  14. I have never used APA style to write a paper and really am worried. I'm just starting classes next week and they are already posting work for some classes. One class seems to be reflective learning(in your own words define this word..) but there is a report that is to be finished( IDK if there is others but she only posted one so far). I need a really good site on APA style of writing.
  15. I really want to work in the ER , of course the ICU would be ok. I really want to work on the night shift though.
