I am so excited about starting the nursing program and thought it would be fun to see who else is excited!! Tell everyone what school you will be attending, what was your GPA, and TEAS score. Fall 2011 RRRRROOOOLLLLLL CCCCAAAALLLL:yeah::yeah:
I will be attending GPC, my GPA was 3.8, and my TEAS V score was 82%!
Congrats to you Fall 2011 nursing students! This is just the beginning. It's going to be hard, but stay focus and you can make it. I'm in my third semester out of four in an Accelerated BSN program, but I want to tell you getting straight A's in nursing school shouldn't be your main focus. However, it is possible. Coming out as a competent nursing student should be the goal. Maintain that good GPA especially if many of you decide to pursue a graduate degree. You can have a life while in nursing school, but it'll take time management to do it.
As an extra encouragement to work hard to obtain your goal, write your name out on a piece of paper with your degree and title, whether an RN or LPN (i.e. Glad2baSN, BSN, RN) and place it on a mirror you most use, as a reminder you can do it. Congrats again!

Thanks Glad2basn for your words of encouragement! I think it is our joy to finally begin our journey that we are celebrating. I hope that we can continue to share our ups and downs so that this same class will be sharing this same joy once we are the graduating class! It is nice to take a reprieve from looking at the mountain that we have to climb and be able to look back at the steps that we have taken thus far. Once again I wish you all success:heartbeat
I'm starting in 9 days (and anxiously counting!)
I'm sooo nervous. I've read the first two chapters of all of my books, made up notes and flash cards for them and I'm making pre-made meals to put in my freezer so I have more time for studying! Neurotic, much? Maybe (definitely) I'm going a little overboard, but I can't help it! This is a new beginning for me in a very real sense.
Congrats to everyone and I hope that you all update us on how things are going! I will try to do likewise!! :)

I'm attending McMaster university (Canada) and my GPA was 4.0! No TEAS test for me...
