Nothing done yet - no physical, no uniforms, no CPR nothing!!! Anyone want to do CPR together if possible?? Also, who wants to help me get together ~$1500 in the next 6w so I can pay for classes, books and the first month of $600/mo daycare?? Ahhhhhh!!!
Thanks MJ, for the code and the info on that book! Maybe I'll just buy that book and read it until orientation and then when my pell kicks in I'll buy all those expensive books.
I entered all the ISBN's into Amazon and couldn't find many of the individual items. It would make sense if one package is for lecture and one for clinicals. I also found the uniforms online for a little cheaper than the bookstore (even though shipping costs and time may even it out). Wonder why they want us to attend orientation before purchasing??? Already got my stethoscope, bandage scissors, hemostat, lab coat, pin light, and shoes. I plan on going to one of the two bookstores tomorrow to get my patches and see what uniform size I am (and buy it if I can't resist). Unfortunately, I haven't had any boosters in a while so I have to get an MMR and Vericella titer with my TB test at the Health Dept. tomorrow (only $70 for all!!). Hope everyone has had a good 4th weekend. For those that haven't received their packets yet, don't get overwhelmed!
Too late - already overwhelmed! And no packet yet or my major changed in Wise. I hand delivered mine last Thursday, so there was no way it got lost in the mail - will call.
Thanks for the list of books! Count me among the geeks - am trying to absorb Fluids & Electrolytes Made Easy before the semester starts, while I'm finishing 2 summer session on-line classes.
My Littman hurts my ears too. The little card in the box says to pull them apart, so they aren't so tight. I'm not sure that'll totally fix the problem for me though, as I'm also one who's ears hurt with a bluetooth or ear buds in for just a few minutes!

So I called the school to check up on why my stuff hasn't been updated and I haven't gotten a packet in the mail and the woman who does the processing of the acceptance letters is out today. I told the women I was speaking with that that made very little sense considering they are due today! So she went and checked in the inbox of the processor and said that mine wasn't in there, but she couldn't get into the actual office. I ended up leaving her a voicemail saying that I mailed it out and I DO accept my seat. Now I'm worried.

I just called and they just told me that "their" deadline to have them sent out and in our hands is July 15th, so they are still in the process of getting them out to us.

Seems like everyone is busy calling or visiting the nursing dept. today. I was just over there to hand in my form stating I will attend the orientation on August 3rd. I asked again what campus I was going to and S. said I would possibly be shifted to EC because I live in Brooksville. I explained that I drop my son off at the preschool on west campus and I understand if I can't be on WC but really hope I am. The other lady said keep your fingers crossed and be happy you beat out 200 applicants and I said oh I know I will make whatever sacrifices I need to.
I called the main number for admissions at the West campus and talked to the girl with the name that sounds like the chocolate and peanut butter candy bar/cups, but instead of the S, it ended in Y. LOL...
The woman must be out ill or with a major family emergency because I can't imagine them approving a vacation day when all of THIS is going on! Glad to hear you were proactive and left a voice mail message. Maybe try an email? Or fax? Just to be sure. They made copies of my forms that I turned in if you want me to post the verbiage. Oh, and their email address format is: [email protected] if that helps.
