good good luck! let us know how things go for you. congratulations to you!!!!
hello!
thank you very much for the warm congratulations, everyone in this thread! :)
this hospital's ob/maternity is really special -i think. they use more family physicians and clinical nurse midwives, (together) than obstetricians.
i would not have every thought that this is where i want to be but...after experiencing clinicals there it turns out that yes, this is exactly the place i want to be.
now, time to buckle down for the next 9 weeks first.

Hi Gen,
You may remember me from the Direct Entry thread of so long ago. If you don't mind sharing where you got hired, I am also looking for a job in the area and am looking for midwife/patient friendly hospitals... I have four interviews this week but only one I am really excited about.
Congrats on your success:) And on the commission. BTW, I am also in the Army if there's ever anything I can help you with. I am also considering the reassessment thing since I am currently not an AN. Good luck with that.

Hello CEG,
Yes, I remember you! I saw your username recently and wanted to shoot a hello. :)
I will pm you.
edit to add: you might also want to ask this in the IL nurses forum too.

Hello,
I am (knocking on wood) 9 weeks away from graduation.
I applied interviewed and so on and yesterday was offered, and accepted, a position at that same facility where I had my recent OB clinicals.
VERY HAPPY about this.
I also have a recent commission in the Army Nurse corps on Inactive Ready Reserve while re-boarding.
My short term goals and long term goals are a bit jumbled right now but I plan to make them work out. My immediate goals are to not job jump and to stick around long enough to both learn and to contribute with my first employer before I do go active duty in the Military.
Cool, to put it mildly,
Gen
