Haven't seen a post for this yet but since applications are open I figured I'd start one! Anyone else trying to get in for this fall? How many points are you applying with?

I know I’m not TECHNICALLY in yet but I had 16 points and a 2.909 GPA!! Is anyone going to make a facebook group?
Also I’m only 24, but still feel that’s older than most people starting nursing school.

I can make a page! I’ll let y’all know what to search for to find it

Don’t give up hope! There’s still a chance!

I’m really hoping that OU opening up and accepting all applications helps out big time ? if only I started my classes a semester earlier.

Stay positive! There is still plenty of time for you to get the acceptance email. OU accepting all qualified applicants should surely help lighten OCCC application loads. ??

I'm a last year graduate from OCT 2021. Here is my perspective as I owe to this forum.

I was not selected the first time in accelerated program. I retook the TEAS again and was placed at 12th on the waiting list in my second application.  A week later, I recieved an invitation from. OCCC with a week to accept or decline the admission, which I gladly accepted it. My bachelors GPA was 3.36.

The first term of the program was tough and I barely passed with 2 points above the threshold. 12 students were kicked out after first term due to their scores below the threshold.  That was an eye opener and the next three terms, I had no issue and passed my exams comfortably.

My advice is to stay focused, don't be discouraged from rejection. You will eventually make it to the program.

Cheers!

What was the biggest lesson you learned in the first semester that shaped your study habits the rest of the terms?
