  1. The lesson that I learnt is to study consistently. Especially right after the lecture, go through the contents of the lecture the same day. After the first term, I consistently studied atleast 2 hours a day whether it's a clinical day or a campus day. I know clinical rotations can take a toll especially when it's from 5 AM to 3 PM on consecutive days but small adjustments can bring a feel good factor and confidence. I'm 35, I have two daughters. I'm sure if I can do it, everyone can do it. PS: I love my sleep and had to make compromise with it ?
  2. I'm a last year graduate from OCT 2021. Here is my perspective as I owe to this forum. I was not selected the first time in accelerated program. I retook the TEAS again and was placed at 12th on the waiting list in my second application. A week later, I recieved an invitation from. OCCC with a week to accept or decline the admission, which I gladly accepted it. My bachelors GPA was 3.36. The first term of the program was tough and I barely passed with 2 points above the threshold. 12 students were kicked out after first term due to their scores below the threshold. That was an eye opener and the next three terms, I had no issue and passed my exams comfortably. My advice is to stay focused, don't be discouraged from rejection. You will eventually make it to the program. Cheers!
  3. Initially the tests were proctored online in first two semesters due to pandemic. For the last two semesters, tests were conducted at campus. Due to pandemic, all classes were online except the labs.
  4. I was #12 on the alternate list in Spring 2021 session and was able to get in eventually. You will get in too.
  5. This is a perspective from a recent (10/7 pinning ceremony) OCCC nursing graduate. The program is exciting and hectic. I am a mom of two girls and my husband helped me a lot. Without his help, I wouldn't have made it. Remember to study from Day1. In our cohort, I saw several students were not able to score 666/900 in first semester and they were forced to leave the program. Don't take this program as walk over a cake. You will have one lecture per week and one lab. Our lecture was via zoom as it was pandemic. The students in our class were mature and helpful and there was no drama whatsoever. The teachers are awesome and very knowledgeable. I scored a C grade in first semester and the rest were B grades in remaining semesters. Don't forget to apply for scholarships as I got $700 waived in my tuition. My experience at OCCC was awesome, better than my BS experience :)
