Just wandering who is playing the waiting game for OCCC's fall 2010 traditional nursing program acceptance letters!!! these next 2ish months are going to drive me nuts!!!!!:uhoh3:

I bought it off of abebooks.com I just googled the isbn # I think. The book itself was $23 but I paid $20 for shipping it comes out of Thailand. I have bought from this website before. I can look the rest of the week to see if there is an opening in the class..I really would like a study partner! lol

mommaof3---don't know if you got your question answered about the shot list but if you check with the health department they might have some records of shots. Also, some highschools keep your shot records at the bottom of your transcript. It doesn't hurt to call and ask. Fortunately i work for a major hospital and they give you all the shots for free. Luckily i only need 1, i had everything else. If your lacking MMR the health dept told me they do those for free and IBMC offers the cheapest rate for varicella tests ($25?). Good luck ;-)

Thanks Sonicgirl..I actually went on Tuesday to SW Medical Center and just had them draw all my titers at the same time of my 1st TB test to make it easy...it wasn't too bad $156 for everything....hopefully all the titers come back positive so I dont have to redo any of the shots. If I have to though I will call the places you mentioned to see if they're cheaper! Thanks again!

Mommaof3....I got my book yesterday and I actually don't think it's the right one. It says "basic principles" on the cover and I looked up the one I ordered and indeed it does say it in the description. Oh well...it is in the exact condition as they described it but it was my fault for not reading the small print. So...now I don't know what to do since class starts Tuesday for me! I might just suck it up and order from amazon and choose 2 day shipping. Now I'm bummed.

What teacher are you guys taking for micro (PM me)? The one i had last semester we didn't even use the book, it was all by powerpoint and there was no need for the book.

Also, there's an international students edition to the micro book in the library. It's the previous edition which is fine since it's exactly the same as the new edition except for more pictures. Go to the library and try to see if you can get that one till you reorder something else. And for furture notice if there's an international version of any book your trying to find, BUY IT!!!! They are all the same page for page, except for a slightly different cover. Also, any previous regular edition will do. The textbook people don't rewrite a whole book each year, they just add pics and other little stuff. So why spend $100 on a brand new book when the previous edition is 98% the same?

I ordered my book already...eeek...I looked it up by isbn # so hoping its the same one! I didn't order the one that said basic principles so heres hoping...mine was $65..ordered it from a US company w expedited shipping so I hope it gets here today! With $16 for shipping (a book!!!!) it should! Anyway, aharris, I will pm you my instructor.

Got everything done and turned in today, whew! Now I just have to survive Micro this summer but Im hoping that will help the time pass quicker to officially start NS! I'm so excited I cant stand myself!! PS aharris...I forgot to PM my instructors name to you! lol I'll do it now! and EAB...my Micro book was correct, I hope yours was too and thanks a ton for the heads up...saved me over $100! SWEEEET.
