  1. NAvy blue unless you are L&D, or NICU
  2. I had 17 the cutoff when I got in was 16 and a 3.3 ( I think) GPA it all depends on what everybody else has when you apply, I takes about 2 months from the dealdline til you find out if you are in. ANd the there are some alternates that get in, I would just have as many pts as possible you dont have to worry about it
  3. Hi the semester is pretty busy , I do get good grades I had a high med B, some did not make it, it is what you make it and unlike anything else you have probably ever done. I dont know about getting off a 330 your work will have to be extremaly lenient...class was 530 to 730 pm lab was mondays either 830am-1pm or 1-5 and clinicals all depended they were wed thurs fri or sat (i had sat) but saturdays are not offered every semester from what I hear and are 630 to 330 i think thats what they were, with prep the day before ( this depends on your clinical instructor for times for prep), you will know ahead of time what day your clinicals are. there is also simulation, and other outside work to do so be prepared to work less or to be up non stop, and the evening schedule is mainly just for the class time and is only offered for the spring semester starting students
  4. Hello, I know im not mommaof3 but I just started the nursing program this past spring. The program is extremely busy and rewarding, a number of student in my group work full time though. We had class tues & thurs, lab monday, clinical one day, and clinical prep the day before, but there is more outside of class things to do at almost all times. This will be my second semester and the clinicals are longer, we have the prep the same day as the clinicals on the pm schedule so i makes for a 11 hr clinical once a week, plus lab, plus class. You must be prepared for it to encroach upon your life, and be flexible with your time, its alot of work but well worth it
  5. Dont be discouraged...alot of alternates came into the spring, some even after we had already started...and sometimes people that were in NPI reapplied for readmission just in case.. if not then reapply for spring
  6. WOW..I remember being in your shoes...i got in for the spring and the waiting was torture...we had to redo the math test too...so dont be to worried. I hope for you guys the letters are on their ways, as there is alot of preparing to do. Good Luck to everyone, and if you get in be ready for a wild ride in the first semester..just take a deep breath and go with it youll get threw it :)
  7. Hello, I am having trouble understanding where they come up with their answers to these to problems, as I come up with different ones if someone can explain it to me that would be great, I did the work just came up with a different answer The physician ordered 80 mg of Garamycin IM BID. On hand: Garamycin 40 mg/ml. How many ml should you administer? __10mL (answer they give me) 2 mL (my answer) 80/40=2 2. The physician ordered 120,000 units of Penicillin IM every 6 hrs. The label states "add 19.6 ml of diluent to provide 50,000 units/ml; add 9.6 ml of diluent to provide 100,000 units/ml; add 4.6 ml of diluent to provide 200,000 units/ml; add 3.6 ml of diluent to provide 250,000 units/ml; add 1.6 ml of diluent to provide 500,000 units/ml". How much diluent should be added? _______4.6ml____(got the same no complaints) How many ml should be administered? ______1.5mL(answer they give me) .6mL (my answer) 120,000/200,000=.6
