OCCC BADNAP-Spring 2021

Published

Hello Everyone! This thread is for students applying to the BADNAP program for Spring 2021.

Am done with all my prerequisite and already have my bachelor's. Am just so nervous

@Doh oh yeah you will be good to go! I think anyone who meets the requirements and has their pre-reqs complete will get in. The only reason that would change is if the applicant poll is ridiculously large but meeting with my advisor Tuesday, it doesn’t seem like that is likely.

Hi guys I just submitted my application few days ago .I made an 82 on my TEAS score but my GPA is not that great .I have a 2.9.Is any body in the same boat with me?

Hi!  Welcome!  I'm right there with you, 3.01 GPA, 87 on TEAS, and have completed all pre-reqs.  Now just waiting...

Does anyone know if we will hear back in the typical 4-6 weeks after the application deadline has passed?  I was wondering if we might hear back sooner since the original deadline was pushed back.

Great job on the TEAS test.It sounds like you are gonna get in.Am not very sure if we are gonna hear back from them sooner than the 4-6 weeks.I guess nursing advisors could be of great help. Am wondering how many applicant they accept per application peroid?

I believe they admit 45 for each cohort (Spring and Summer), seems like I read that somewhere on the website, but I am not sure how current that number is.

Yes 45, I’ve seen years that they took more like 50-55 depending. Going back to around 2013 it looks like they averaged from 75 applicants to 120, with the fall being higher and Spring being lower.

I was just looking at the Spring 2021 Traditional message board and it looks like they are getting their acceptance emails today!  I didn't even apply for the traditional program but I'm so excited for them!

They were due the first week of September, I believe, not sure of the exact date, but it really hasn’t been that long so I’m hopeful the BADNAP decisions will be made quickly also!

Yeah, that's not too long at all. I'm sure BADNAP will be quicker as the applicant pool has to be significantly smaller than 300.

Fingers crossed.Good luck to everyone!
