OCCC BADNAP-Spring 2021

That's a bit depressing. I suppose if I'm not able to get in this semester my chances for Summer will be really good with my GPA and TEAS score. I am going to be a nervous wreck for the next couple of months waiting this one out.

@Nicole Kayy that’s interesting info. I’m on the traditional board too and it looks like a lot of people ran into road blocks with the TEAS and Accuplacer applied with 12-14 points because they aren’t able to schedule the testing due to COVID. I’m wondering if there is a lot of quantity of applications but possible less competitive. That being said, I’m wondering if because the BADNAP has a TEAS requirement if there won’t be as high of an application pool being that there were 4 months or so where people weren’t able to find a place to take the TEAS. Either way I guess we just hope for the best and apply for the Summer if we don’t get in this time around ? when I spoke to the advisor Wednesday he told me again that the Spring pool for BADNAP is typically quite a bit smaller than the Summer due to scheduling but COVID is changed so much that who even knows.

I hate thinking about this as a whole because my brain tries to play out all scenarios. One minute I'm thinking the application pool will be smaller because COVID hit and it was harder to get a TEAS test scheduled, people were stuck at home, it was harder to get in touch with anyone and people had more important things to worry about. The next minute my brain tells me that this application pool will be larger because people that lost their jobs due to COVID will likely be looking to pursue their passions as they were forced into it. I suppose we will all know sometime in November. I wish you luck with your application!

YESSSS! Same here. I can make myself go crazy if I think about it too long. I guess we will know for sure in a few weeks ?????? Good luck to you as well!

I hope the application pool is small because traditional got over 300 applications and they said that’s the most they ever got since they started the nursing program at occc

I attached mine with the application as the application says it can't be edited in any way once submitted. If you don't attach them with the application I'm almost positive you have to fill out a new application with the scores attached.

That's concerning about the record number of traditional applications! I was hoping with the current COVID situation there would be fewer apps. Hopefully that will be the case for BADNAP! The application isn't even due yet and I'm already having anxiety over waiting! Best of luck to everyone!

Hey guys! I'm Neil and I also applied for the Spring 2021 BADNAP program. I have a competitive GPA but I have the same worries as some of you, as I'm finishing my Microbio pre-requisite right now. I'll be done with the class 5 days after the application deadline passes so I'm not exactly sure how that will factor in, but fingers crossed it'll help. Best of luck to everyone!

Hi guys I just submitted my application few days ago .I made an 82 on my TEAS score but my GPA is not that great .I have a 2.9.Is any body in the same boat with me?

Good job on the TEAS! I made at 82 as well and have a 3.2 but I’m finishing up Physiology right now. Are your pre-reqs complete? If so, it sounds like you will get in!
