OCCC BADNAP-Spring 2021

Published

Hello Everyone! This thread is for students applying to the BADNAP program for Spring 2021.

Hi everyone!

I am applying to the BADNAP program for Spring '21 as well! Nervous but excited. I had a quarter life crisis (Corona hit the fan) and was gonna wait until June '21 but something kicked me back into reality and now I'm back on track! Someone mentioned possibly not many people applying because of everything going on- which is good for us! ??

Hello my name is alex I plan on applying to the badnap program I have finished all my pre-reqs just waiting on taking my TEAS at the end of august. Any tips on how to get a good grade?

Welcome MrsNemesis81 and Alex!

Alex, I bought a TEAS study guide from the ATI website, but they are a bit cheaper on Amazon I believe. I also purchased 2 practice tests from ATI, which helped me identify areas where to concentrate my study time, that was a huge help! In my experience, there was much more Chemistry and Microbiology than A&P, which was a challenge, but the math was pretty basic algebra, so it wasn’t bad at all. I would suggest doing as many practice questions as you can find!

Has anyone completed the application yet?

Did anyone take Microbiology at another school besides OCCC? I took mine at Redlands CC and my Micro requirement is showing as "Not Started" on the student portal, although my Redlands transcript has been received and evaluated. I will call and verify that it transfers, just wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing?

Mines from osu and never had a issue and mines about 8 years old- also took my biology at uco for my bachelors- so maybe that over rides the other courses- I’ve got my associate in pre nursing from osu then finished a bs at uco.

Yes I took Micro at UCO. When did you send over your transcript?

I jut took my TEAS test and I got an 70 on it and I think I need to take it again ?

@Nicole Kayy I also got a 70% last week ? I am retaking it at OCCC on September 9th.

Correct me if I’m wrong? But if you make a 70, that’s good correct? If you already have you bachelors and stuff or do you get a point scale as well? My advisor told me all I had to do was make a 70.

Here is the reading on the current packet for badnap ranking is done by GPA not TEAS scores unless you are applying for traditional as well.

@ciciwaken yes a 70 is all that is needed but like with any competitive program the better you score the more you stand out/ your chances vs someone who may not have scored as high or performed as good.

Yes they said if you have a 70 just to apply but I am done with all my pre read but I am going to try again but I don’t know if I will have it done before the due date
