Obsessed with Scrubs

Published

OK...I am most definitely a very girly glam girl. I love having very neat and form fitting scrubs. Which can get tedious seeing that I'm 5'13" (just go with it)! Its an obsession that developed after I bought some great scrubs and was no longer pulling and tugging at the back of pants at work (after all I'm not a plummer!). Any who, I notice that I will find myself staring at other people's scrubs (when the scrubs are cute of course) trying to pin the designer. I sometimes even wear scrubs on my off days. Am I just alone and weird in this? Or anyone else out there slowly developing an obsession. If so, what are your go to scrubs or coats. Mine thus far, are Greys Anatomy, Med Couture, and Heartsoul Heartbreaker line.

Another tall & skinny here but don't like tight or form fitting. Every facility I have worked at though had color coded uniforms. Only so much originality with all Royal Blue etc.

I don't like tight clothes either, too much junk back there. The whole day will be spent readjusting, not to mention the whole oops I split my pants thing that could occur.

I like well fitted, stretchy scrubs with technical fabric. No boxy boring ones for me! I like Cherokee Infinity and Urbane Ultimate.

That stretchy comfy but form fitting material gives me Life!!!!

You should try smitten. I love those. I'm tall also but mostly stick with greys anatomy because I require cargo pockets for my trauma shears. I really wish there were more options for tall women. It gets frustrating because I see a lot of cute stuff but frequently they aren't in tall sizes. I also have issues with a lot of scrub tops because I feel like they aren't very long and they barely cover to my pants.

Thank you, I've seen that logo before but could never pin the designer. And yes it is the story of my life.

ME: Oh that's cute where did you get it

THEM: At such and such, its on sale too!

ME: goes searching......finds it--"Oh not in my size, wait wait what if I lower the hems...

Check out Sapphire Scrubs! They are really cute and they even have slimfit pants. I've had mine about 8 months or so and they're holding up great.

YES! another good find, stretchy fabric seems to be in. There scrub jackets look professional almost like a business suit top

Cherokee infinity all the way!

Yeah looks like I've been sleeping on Cherokee. Thank you!

I love the Butter Soft line by Uniform Advantage. I look for figure flattering scrubs that aren't super fitted, and they fit the bill nicely. They're also super comfy, hold up well, and come in tall sizes.

These are cute and inexpensive too, you guys have no idea how grateful I am for these selections!

Overall thanks guys, I could literally write an article to help fill closets with all these selections!

My facility allows us to wear dri-fits purchased from our hosp scrub store. I love them, i doubt i can ever go back to scrub tops. As for bottoms...im not too picky. I do like them loose and dont really need them to be form fitting.

I've never been a fan of scrubs, mostly because of their polyester texture and lack of belt loops. I'm embarrassed to wear scrubs in public. But I'm a dude and jeans and t-shirt will always be my first choice. Fortunately now I'm in a nursing job that doesn't require wearing scrubs!

Anything yoga..usually screams form fitting and comfortable to me so I was pleasantly surprised to see scrubs that came like this...but very perplexed by your comment. The Koi Women's Tall Morgan Ultra Comfy Yoga-Style Scrub pants seem form fitting to me.

I buy a large and probably could wear a medium but I like roomy. I love the fold down waist and they are very soft.

So by sizing up you make your yoga scrub pants baggy? I see, well to each its own

Embarrassed to wear scrubs in public..Lol...we have a complete opposite appreciation for scrubs. Guess I'm just weird all alone.

I always wonder what kind of germs someone might be tracking around when I see people out in public in scrubs just assuming they are on their way home from work.

Well I assume the same germs that can be found on their shoes, watches, purses, their arms, in their hair (for those who like wearing it down at work) I try not to think about that it can drive you crazy.

Well....I for one wear white dresses. You can still buy them at most uniform shops and on line. Far from looking old-fashioned, they are "retro". Not a day goes by that I am not complimented on the "look". I am a tall woman too so have to size up or find talls.

I sometimes even wear scrubs on my off days.

What? Really?

What? Really?

OH YES! :cat: I have those lots of those stretchy scrub pants (from heart soul) that are form fitting but comfortable and actually cover all of my legs, from previous employers I've worked for and their colors don't match my current employers colors so why let them go to waste? I pair it with a cute tank and flip flops and out the door I go!

What? Really?

I wear my old, "out of service" scrub tops around the house and as pajama tops. My Butter Soft scrubs gained a second life as pj's.
