Hi all
just wondering from all of you who have been to OBLC recently, do you need to have all your medical stuff in order before you head down there????? (i.e. physical, dental...now the new PHA) etc.
thanks in advance
***...O.K. so now my Company Commander told me I have to get an X-ray of all my long bones and skull, and a colonoscopy...something about new PHA requirements they are instituting??
When I called to "book" my PHA appointment, the man that helped me....said nothing about a colonoscopy.....nor xrays about long bones and skull. I am going for a Panorex dental xray, which they use in case they need to identify you or your remains.
I am 46 so I am not in the window of requiring a colonoscopy yet. I would just og online complete the assessment then call and make your appointment....they're pretty clear about what they need
I just received all the paperwork for the PHA. There are guidelines for preventative health by age. Fecal occult blood/colonoscopy are not required until after the age of 50. PSA for men over 50. Mammogram for women over 40 and glaucoma for those over 40.
Interesting, nowhere in all this paperwork or on AKO am I finding anything about x-rays of long bones or skull. Unless you have a hx of prior fxs maybe?!!?
Anyone else have any input on this?

Get a what? I am pretty sure that I would of noticed that in all the paperwork I signed. Yes I signed for 6 yrs, not for colonoscopy. Man I need to find that wine.

Can my dentist not do my panorex xray? I thought if I take the dental form with me when I go see him next, I could have him fill out and turn in at my unit---mom......
make sure you get the films..............and let them know your dentist is going to do panorex
