I am too excited but now what!
I am even more confused, my orders say TDY at Ft Bening GA, TDY report date 29 March, TDY purpose OBLC, I was not aware that there was another location besides Ft Sam Houston. I tried calling my recruiter but I had to leave a message. Any one else have this report location or any info?
My orders also say my sex is male even though I am not! LOL
What does DORRES, DOR and Constructive Credit 05-00-00 stand for?
We got paid 2 weeks after arriving for OBLC. However, it could take up to a month so be prepared financially. Unless you have dependents you will not receive BAH while at OBLC because they will put you in lodging and pay for it. I am married and have a child but since my husband is also a soldier and our daughter is listed under him the Army considers me a single soldier. So I didn't get BAH for the 9 weeks of OBLC, which I didn't know about prior and was an unpleasant suprise.

Thanks for the info. I do have dependents so I am hopeful that my pay + BAH will come in 2 weeks rather than 1 month.
Can I ask what type of NP you are? I was looking at going in as a CNM and Stewart was an option, just wondering if they are looking for a lot of people or what. congrats!
Thanks.
I am an Adult NP. I am acutally going in as 66H(med surg RN) since there is not a MOS for ANP only FNP. Also the bonus and loan repay that I opted for was available for 66H at the time I started app process. I am not sure in what way Ft Stewart will actually use me though, if they have more of the need for a NP then I can fill that role. If need be, I would like to obtain FNP though, currently I can treat ages 13 and up, this has always worked well for me because I have always worked with ages 18+ in my career, I never needed the "FNP". Once I PCS and find out what's what I will post back to these boards.
As far as CNM I am not sure. I do know Ft. Stewart is a small hospital. There is another member on the boards-Jeckrn that is stationed at Ft. Stewart, he may be able to give you more information.
Good luck, I hope it all works out the way you hope.
i commissioned wednesday and signed a form with the oath on it which the recruiter said was my 'contract.' it didn't mention anything about the sign on bonus- basically it was just the oath and my signature-and the recruiter said he can tell me i got it but it doesn't show up on that form. he said that when i get to my first duty station i need to make sure i request the bonus within 30 days and there is another form i will sign that will bump my term from 36 to 48 months officially and get me the bonus. does that sound right?? that's the same thing he has told me from the beginning but i feel like it should be in writing somewhere...

I only know my experience but my bonus and student loan papers where included when I signed contract/oath of office papers. The bonus was on page 1 out of 13 of my contract under the section titled "Entitlements", then the title states "Request for Registered Nurse Accession Bonus". This section was before the "Service Obligation" section.
