If you had a patient come in for gel, but you couldn't give it to her because she was contracting and was dilated to 4 very soft, you commented, that delivery would be imminent if you broke her water, but you sent her home instead and the patient delivered at home or in the car, would you be in any kind of trouble? or would it just be chalked up as a haha? I'm just kind of curious. I soooo hope that the nurse who sent me home didn't get in trouble because I'm not angry at all. So out of curiosity, has it every happened to you and are there any reprecussions?

not EVEN gonna go there................ Call your lawyer if you feel there was wrongdoing. My advice stops there.

Ditto ...Ditto...Ditto..!!!
No no no!! I do not IN ANY WAY feel that she did anything wrong! I mean, it wasn't the smartest thing to do I suppose but the notion of a lawyer is simply RIDICULOUS to me! I am quite grateful that I didn't give birth in a hospital. I'm sorry my question was out of bounds, I was just wondering if it had happened to anyone else. I have zero ulterior motives, I was simply curious. How sad.

HHMMMMMmmm.....
Given the litigious country that we live in, and the various imposters that have come onto this board, I don't think you can blame us for being leary of people who come in asking about other nurses and if what they did was felt to be right or wrong.
It just would not be prudent for any of us to answer the question.
Exactly, Vegas. License first, bb second.

You should speak with your primary caregiver, or a lawyer if you feel it necessary. We cannot offer advice on a unique situation for which we were not present.
That being said, me and my ten foot pole will now be heading over to off-topic...
