Pre-nursing students applying for Fall 2020/Winter 2021 start date at Oakland Community College

Hello all ?

I am applying for Oakland Community College Nursing program in a few weeks and have loads of questions. Are you applying too? What's the GPA cut off? If you've graduated from or attended the program, how was/is it? Which is better, fall or winter start?

I am excited to apply and excited to meet other applying as well! We've got this!

I'm just super bummed bc I will have to retake my Micro and AP2 bc it will expire 2021 ??? such a never ending battle I feel! There is hope and other programs just sucks bc not many other programs require the same classes as OCC so I'll have to take even more to apply to those ??‍♀️ it is what it is! Hoping the best for everyone! See what the mail says in about 12 days!

The entire process itself sucks. The point system sucks. The deducting of points is really a pain in the ***. The counselor I spoke to this morning at the Southfield location seemed to agree. For whomever is interested, Chamberlain has a new program starting in May. No pre-reqs are required, and they accepted all of my OCC classes as transfers. Pricey, but it would be the same as repeating classes again at OCC which would ultimately just bring scores down lower.

I've also had counselors tell me the way they score is a little jacked! But what can you do, I was looking at Chamberlain was just waiting to hear from OCC first, good to know!

Welp...I planned a trip to Key West for the end of April! I can thank OCC for the extremely over spending to cover up the grief ??

I am waiting to get my letter and depending on the decision they have made I will be taking a vacation also! ?

I'm going to Hawaii end of April!! We all need a vacay after this ?

Does anyone know when you would start pharm if you selected the fall start?

In the Summer for sure. Wouldn't take both of those classes together.
