Oakland community college 2016 applicants

Hello everyone,,

is is anyone here waiting for their acceptance letter to Oakland community college? Also are there any students here that is currently in the program? I am really pump to get started and is looking for any advice I can receive about the program in general.

Oh I meant how did you find it on Amazon Kelvin... I tries by the ISBN and title and nothing came up. I was thinking it may be a school specific textbook.

"Brie" are you looking up the book that comes in a package? I actually just copied and pasted the ISBN of the two books that are under the syllabus that suggested its "optional". I think OCC just combined those two together it made it the "Required Package". I hope I'm making sense typing this haha

I was searching for the Required text Kelvin, the $175 book, not the optional one, I don't think I'm getting the optional ones.

The "required" one is just the two optional combine into a package lol.. But I feel you it's better to be safe. $174 is a lot of money

I am also in Pharm from 2 to 6pm on Mondays, but I saw there are 2 sections being taught during the same hours (2-6).

No problem! But that was just an example, that friend also told me sometimes we might have clinicals on weekends and not weekdays. Just adding my two cents lol, but as Robert mentioned I would take the job if I'm guaranteed a nursing position after. If you ever reach a point where it's overwhelming just let them know. If it becomes too much, just let it go. Just adding my two cent tho lol. I have Mary Miles, hbu?

I actually signed my offer letter yesterday! I appreciate any input at all cuz I was so torn. And I have Miles as well :) Ill be seeing you in class then!

Great,, I just wish they would finish drafting the new syllabus already, so we can know what exactly what to start reading and practicing. Also from my understanding, we will start class even if our fingerprint from the FBI haven't been processed yet right? How about our immunization records,physical, BLS class,etc? According to the deadline we have until July, which mean we will be done with pharm before turning any of that in right?

We have to have all if our background check info submitted by 5/4 but it won't be cleared until sometime into the semester. As far as all other documents they have to be submitted by sometime in July, basically they want it all before we begin our actual "NURSING" classes. I'm with you though, I'm ready to get some pre-reading done. Maybe we're just all too anxious lol
