Oakland community college 2016 applicants

Hello everyone,,

is is anyone here waiting for their acceptance letter to Oakland community college? Also are there any students here that is currently in the program? I am really pump to get started and is looking for any advice I can receive about the program in general.

See I was thinking that too...that it's probably not hard, it's just a lot of work...I work around nurses and to me their duties don't seem hard, it's a lot of stuff to accomplish though and a lot of charting. I don't say that to make it sound like nursing is easy but it seems more like you need dedication and patience than anything. We can do this! I'm very nervous for tomorrow because this syllabus looks like we're gonna be hitting the ground running, but hopefully they kinda ease us into it. :geek:

Yes we can...I want it too bad to slip up. My anxiety is to the max about tomorrow. I'm excited to start though. Good luck to everyone...may the odds be forever in your favor! Jk lets knock this out so we can celebrate later:cool:

Hello Everyone-

I am puzzled to know if anyone is having trouble with NIC and NOC....and placing them nursing diagnosis? I am finding this extremely difficult...maybe I am over thinking this!!!! However, does anyone have any advice or tips??? PLEASE HELP ME.

It's actually pretty easy...I have a friend who helped me to understand how to pick apart case studies and use the Nursing Diagnosis book so it make it a lot easier to fill in the careplans. If you would like we can meet before class and I can try to explain it the way it was broken down to me.

Hi all,

I had the pleasure of reading your thread which was both entertaining and exciting. I am applying for the nursing program at occ this December of 2018. I was hoping you all could give an update on nursing is going? I'm really excited(even though I'm a year away from applying)
