O.K. So I finished my first semester of my online RN to BSN

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

and it went quite well. Once I got over the shock of being back in school.

I made an A in "Concepts of Profressional Nursing" and an A in "Chemistry"!!!!!!!

Both instructors were generous. In Concepts, we had to write a paper on "what have you learned in thsi course" and she basically gave everyone a 100 on that one. In Chemistry we had an extra credit assignment worth 15 points added to one of the tests, which raised my grade to a 99 average. :)

Now on to semester two which is Statistics and Nursing Reasearch.

Graduation date: May 2007! (seems a little more possible now, but I'm still lazy and may take my time).

I'm in Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences btw.

:balloons: CONGRATULATIONS, TWEETY!!!:balloons:

You are inspiring me to want to return for my BSN!

Specializes in ICU/CCU/MICU/SICU/CTICU.

Way to go Tweety!!

It may seem like it will take forever, but take it from someone who just finished the RN-BSN.... it will be over so fast!!! Seems like I had only been in the program a month or so, and I grad this past Fri night. Like someone else said, the hardest part is starting back, and you are well past that now!

Good luck!

Ok, Tweety. I was going to say 'congratulations' in big bold letters but I dont think I can top Suzanne's post. So, here it is in regular size: CONGRATS!!!!

Specializes in Nursing Education.

Tweety - congrats on finishing the first semester! From one RN-BSN student to another ... that is a great accomplishment. Good luck with stat and research ... let us know how it is going.

I am starting stat shortly .... and research also. Don't mind the research, but not sure I am all too thrilled about stat! I might be sending you an email asking for help. LOL

How long are your semesters at FHCHS?

Congrats again Tweety.

Specializes in Med-Surg, Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac.

Thanks again folks!

Patrick the semesters are 16 weeks long, with each class condensed to 8 weeks. With a few exceptions chemistry was 10 weeks. Pharmacology is going to be 10 weeks as well. Some others are five weeks (I'm still amazed that they can accellerate a 3-hour credit course to 5 weeks) but mostly the courses are 8 weeks, so you wind up with 6 hours, two courses, a semester. Next semester, if I survive this one, is three 5 week courses.

Good luck to you!

Specializes in NICU.

Way to go !

It must feel great to get Chemistry out of the way. . . and with an A! :Melody:

Good luck with Stats--I'm taking it myself this semester, but in class; no way could I do it on-line. I have to have a real-life teacher to throw myself at the mercy of :p .

Specializes in ED, Cardiac Medicine, Retail Health.

Good job Tweety!!! How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time! Before you know it, you will be graduating!!!!!!
