Hi! I thought to create a new thread for those applying to the NYU Spring Graduate Nurse Residency to keep up with status updates and helpful tips!

@rnbrooklynnyc yes, I’m still waitlisted. Contacted the recruiter and she said to wait a few more weeks??‍♀️. Their peds CCVCU and peds ICU is really small so positions are hard to come by.

Hi there! I’m graduating from nursing school December of 2021 and I have been waiting to apply to NYU for their residency all year! For those of you who applied to the residency for Spring 2021, when did your application open?

I believe mid to end of March. I applied the last week of March.

Update: last week, recruiter contacted me about an open position with start date 10/11. Asked me to complete references. Now waiting on an official offer letter.

I had an interview last Friday. The nurse manager said that they'll be in touch. I believe that the interview went well and I sent her a thank you email shortly after. How long after an interview with the NM did you guys get an offer?

Does anyone have other friends/colleagues who have worked at NYU and can speak to their unit environment and residency experience? Stuck between Mount Sinai and NYU and trying to compare their experiences.
