Hi! Good luck to everyone! I'm looking at applying for Fall 2021 but I have a dumb question. I know they have a specific new grad posting, so do you apply to only that? And if so, do you get any preference on your area? Or do you also apply to unit specific openings and then all new grads are automatically in the residency program? Seems like everywhere does their residencies differently so just thought I'd ask here. Thanks!

From what I understand, new grads are enrolled in the Nurse Residency program if their hospital offers one. I am just applying to the residency posting but if there is another job available, nothing is stopping you from applying. I believe you can say your preferences at NYU. Sorry I am not that helpful, I am still learning about how all the hospitals work myself! You can always call HR or Talent Acquisition and ask any questions you have.

I had been in touch with a recruiter so I emailed her after I applied and she got back to me the next morning to set up a phone call.

I had the phone call! She just asked me about my interests and questions specific to my experience. It was really chill! She said I should hear back for next steps by May 1st.
