Hi! I thought to create a new thread for those applying to the NYU Spring Graduate Nurse Residency to keep up with status updates and helpful tips!

@rfg456 yea I was just placed on waitlist an hour ago. Said hopefully will contact me within 5 weeks. Very excited- just not trying to get hopes up until I sign contract.

@rfg456 yup, waitlisted 2 weeks ago for peds CCVCU. I’m not a new grad btw. I have 4 years experience in NICU and general med surg peds. Interviewed with manager, next day contacted by talent acq that the manager wants to move forward with me so I’ve been “added to the top of the waitlist and will hear back in a few weeks”. Still waiting…

Anyone on here who has received an offer/ been hired… Did you guys interview with a general nurse recruiter then nurse manager and HR and then get an offer?

@9Nursing8 Yes! First was a phone screen with a general recruiter, then an interview with the specialty recruiter, then an interview with the nurse manager! Got my offer the day after that.

Thanks! What about contracts? Do you sign a contract with a certain time commitment? The recruiter pretty much didn’t tell me anything..

@9Nursing8 I didn't have to sign a contract! Was really nice because I know a lot of other hospitals have new grads sign on for like 2 years

Hi! Has anyone who received an offer signed an offer letter? If yes, how long after your offer from HR did you receive your letter? I feel like I have been waiting a very long time (a month now..) Thanks!

I got the offer at the end of May and was sent all of my paperwork mid June.

I think they may have filled their August cohort already but they should still be taking new grads by the end of August for September. I was on the offer waitlist but passed my NCLEX late July and my recruiter mentioned no spots were available at the moment but to email them in a few weeks again

I applied for the Residency and also applied for another job listing. When I check my account, the residency doesn't show up as a job I've applied for. Does it show up for everyone else? Just trying to figure out if this is how it's supposed to be or if my application got eaten.
