NYU Fall 2018

Published

Hi, I'm starting this thread because there are only Accelerated BSN threads out there. If you applied to NYU's nursing program as a transfer student without an undergrad degree, I would love to hear from you! I recently found a traditional transfer thread from many years ago and it seemed like not many of the applicants were accepted. This has me worried as I applied as a traditional transfer, regular decision. Is there a possibility NYU only really considers students as traditional freshmen and ABSN students?

Hey, I just saw this! Congrats ^_^

Did you take all those courses at BMCC? If so, do you mind telling me which professors you took? And how you succeeded in those courses? :o

Anyone hear anything?

Yeah, at this point I'm not feeling too great tbh.

Guys, I just checked Albert and my decision was there. I didn't get in unfortunately. Good luck to the rest of you still waiting, wishing you all the best.

I just checked to and I didn't get in either

Me either! Hey! We are all gonna be great nurses regardless. Good luck with your careers guys!

Just got the LIU letter. It says two weeks to make a decision.

Best of luck to all.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply.

Yes I took all my classes at BMCC straight out of high school. For the professors that I do recommend for some of the requirements for NYU and nursing in general are:

Nutrition: Maxx Rivera

Sociology: Deborah Gambs

developmental psychology: Lisa Greco Joseph

The rest of my science professors are either retired or I wouldn't recommend at all

How I studied honestly was a rollercoaster because I was still getting use to the college life because I did graduate HS a year early and went straight to college when I turned 17. It was hard at first but what I recommend is flashcards are super important (at least for me), diagrams, drawings (I'm very much a visual learner), I also recorded lectures and rewrote the slides to my understanding. That's what seemed like it worked for me :), I hope that helps and hopefully you get in to NYU when you apply. I definitely recommend checking the CCTOP scholarship.

Hey guys,

I see there's an ABSN Fall 2018 Facebook group that was created, are there any for traditional students? If not, anyone care to open one?

Hey idk if any of you are still checking this but I am considering applying for spring 2019 and was wondering what classes people took before applying to fill the Texts & Ideas prerequisite course
