NYU Fall 2018

Hi, I'm starting this thread because there are only Accelerated BSN threads out there. If you applied to NYU's nursing program as a transfer student without an undergrad degree, I would love to hear from you! I recently found a traditional transfer thread from many years ago and it seemed like not many of the applicants were accepted. This has me worried as I applied as a traditional transfer, regular decision. Is there a possibility NYU only really considers students as traditional freshmen and ABSN students?

Thanks!

Hi there! I applied to NYU's BSN program. I also do not have a previous bachelor's degree and I applied as a transfer student, regular decision for the Fall of 2018.

Hey! I applied as a transfer for Fall 2018 to the nursing school as well! I submitted my application on January 29th of this year so I'm hoping I hear back soon-ish!

That's awesome! How have you both found the application process so far? A close friend of mine told me that they actually do read the personal statements and that there isn't as much emphasis on GPA. I'm getting the same idea from other threads. My biggest concern is that it's not clear if they prioritize traditional four year students and accelerated applicants :/

Yeah I'm not sure like how they prioritize their applicants either :/ I was looking online and it looks like the majority of the nursing school is made up of like fresh HS graduates but I'm not sure if that's 100% true. I have hope since they do a holistic review though! Just have to keep our fingers crossed.

That's exactly what I saw as well. I'm with you on that! **fingers crossed í ¾í´ž you should be hearing back soon since you applied early decision!!! do you live in NY?

Hey, I got accepted this past spring as a traditional transfer student. I needed a couple of core classes before I'm able to begin with the Nursing sequence which I begin this coming Fal. What would you like to know?

Hey! Would you mind telling us your GPA when you got accepted? Mine is close to a 3.4 and I don't think it is as competitive to other applicants.

Omg that is awesome! First off, Congratulations! Tell us everything you can! Lol stats? Ec's? Did you apply early decision or reg? How has your experience been so far? Do you believe traditional transfers are viewed in the same way as other applicants?

Yeah I'm hoping I do but not sure if they are just going to send out acceptances randomly or not!

Congrats!! Yes can you please share your stats with us, if you don't mind? Such as GPA, EC, work experience, etc? Thank you in advance!
