NYU Fall 2018

Published

Hi, I'm starting this thread because there are only Accelerated BSN threads out there. If you applied to NYU's nursing program as a transfer student without an undergrad degree, I would love to hear from you! I recently found a traditional transfer thread from many years ago and it seemed like not many of the applicants were accepted. This has me worried as I applied as a traditional transfer, regular decision. Is there a possibility NYU only really considers students as traditional freshmen and ABSN students?

Hey guys,

I see there's an ABSN Fall 2018 Facebook group that was created, are there any for traditional students? If not, anyone care to open one?

Hey! I just wanted to ask if NYU gave you acceptable aid for being a transfer student? I applied for spring 2020 and am still waiting for a decision, but I want to know if I should expect something that is acceptable. Thanks!

Hi Marie, I’m not sure what they give. I have heard that they give everyone a small scholarship anywhere from $2,500 to $4,000. On their financial aid website they have a number of other scholarships you can apply for. Good luck!

I haven’t received that information just yet, but when I do I will message you!

hey everyone, im thinking of applying this fall 2020, I was just wondering for all of you that attend, how is your experince? How do you manage to afford to attend? I am having trouble finding scholarships, I don't know where to begin. do you apply for scholariships before you apply or at the same time?

I find it difficult to find a scholarship because a lot of them want you to be accepted/ enrolled in a nursing program already. which, to me is confusing because I need to know before I get in if I can even afford it. dealing w/ nursing school and paying the high cost tuition is scary.. yikes
