NYU Fall 2014 ABSN

Published

Hello,

I have noticed there isn't a thread for those applying for NYU Accelerated Nursing Fall 2014. Let's share feedback, advice, stats, etc... I went to an open house today at NYU. They really do stress that since there is no interview, the personal statement is our chance to prove ourselves. They also said they get about 1,000 applicants and a Fall entrance class usually have about 150 students in it.

What part of the application process are you in?

How is the personal statement going?

How many pre-reqs do you have left?

I just submitted in my application! Good luck everyone! :o

Is everyone submitting/did you already submit letters of recommendation?

Does anyone know if application materials like transcripts and LOR's have to arrive by the deadline of March 1st to be considered priority or just postmarked?

got an email this morning about materials arriving on time. They should arrive to their offices by Monday March 3rd.

do you guys know if our materials don't arrive by March 1st for early decision, if they'll accept all of our documents/materials and consider us for regular decision (April 1st)?

I applied to the non-accelerated program, as a second degree candidate. NYU says if you have a couple prereqs to complete at the time of matriculation you can take those course at NYU and then transfer into the accelerated program once you have completed them. Has anyone else applied this way?

Hi all. I just submitted my application for NYU's Fall Entry yesterday. I had official transcripts sent to them about two weeks ago. Does anyone know how/where we can track if NYU has received necessary documents (transcripts, LORs. etc)?

Thanks!!

I just submitted my application! YAY! However, when I try to view the application, I can't see the NYU Second bachelor's form that I uploaded. Should I be concerned? Can anyone else see theirs? Comments would be appreciated!

Marissa: You will receive an email with your Albert login...from there you will be able to view your checklist of items. It won't reflect your LOR though.

Nguyent: I am not sure, I have not tried to view my application. If you submitted it, then I wouldn't be concerned.

Planemo: thank you. I received an email right away with an application ID # but not a log-in. Do you recall how soon after you submitted your application that you received an email with the login info?

Thanks!

Just submitted my application! Also have an I.D. number emailed to me but no sort of login information yet. Still have to have my LORs mailed in but since they're optional I'm hoping it doesn't affect the priority review of my application.

is anyone not doing priority deadline? Does anyone know if it truly matters or increases your chances of getting in?
