  1. congrats to everyone who got in! I just received my acceptance for the April start yesterday morning! I have a friend who received her acceptance for the June start last week. There's still hope! Can`t wait to meet everyone (:
  2. thanks for sharing marykdarling! I was definitely stressed out that I haven't taken patho and pharm yet but you've relieved my stress a little! haha do you mind sharing your stats ? what kind of experience did you have?
  3. sorry IP = in progress.
  4. Does anyone know if they look down on IP classes? I am missing pharmacology and pathophysio as well but will be taking them in the summer.. I hope this doesn't hurt our chances =[[
  5. i just expressed ship everything the other day too ;/ now its just the waiting game.. does anyone know how many people apply?
  6. i think if i don't hear anything by thursday, it's safe to assume i didn't get in which means i should probably start working on my applications for other schools..
  7. @manilaeclair omgoodness I didn't realize I was in the wrong thread haha Still, that's great to know! Thanks for your reply (: Now I shall go wander and find the thread for the Irvine one -___-
  8. congrats @manilaeclair! that was pretty fast , given that the deadline isn't until june 2nd! unless there was a priority i missed -_- anyway, do you mind sharing your stats?
  9. from other forums i've read, it seems like they send acceptance letters to the people they absolutely want, then wait list, and lastly the rejection letters =[ i'm just speculating.. there's still hope! *crosses fingers*
  10. the waiting process is seriously so nerve wracking. definitely worst than applying to colleges the first time around.. congrats to everyone who got in! praying that we hear some good news soon :)
  11. @pugluv that's exactly what happened to me ! Booo =[ I keep seeing people say that priority and regular doesn't really matter so let's hope not! @kdacayo thanks for your input! I don't have the leisure to go into their office because I live in CA haha but I will definitely call them and check.
  12. Goodluck Aurora18! I am contemplating on whether I should apply to the ELMNS, the ABSN, or both and this will be my first time. How was your experience the first time applying? I heard that each location accepts about 24 people (correct me if I'm wrong). It seems super competitive compared to the ABSN program that accepts about 64 people.
  13. same here! I went into my schools office and they said they sent my transcript 3 weeks ago but Albert didn't check it off. Is anyone else experiencing this? Should I be concerned or should I try reaching the NYU Admissions office?
  14. @planemo I definitely agree with you ! You can get a bachelor's anywhere and pay much much less than what NYU has to offer but I really think the investment is not only towards getting a nursing degree from NYU but also the living experience. If you're willing to make that investment then I'm sure it'll be worth it. First things first, lets cross our fingers and hope we get in! @pugluv I completely agree. I've heard that a lot of MEPN programs DO NOT let you change your speciality so it's probably safe to get your BSN and then decide on specialty later. However, I did hear that many nursing programs will be omitting the Entry Level Masters option by 2015. I have heard several nurses talk about this new plan so that acquiring your MSN would take 5 years instead of 3. I know there's still debate about it, so hopefully that goes into effect years down the road!
  15. just received by albert ID. submitted my application a day before the deadline but shows up as regular decision. oh well =[[ good luck to everyone ! (:
