Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?

Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.
Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!
Hello Everyone,
I received my acceptance about an hour ago. I got an email saying to log into my application page to view important information. The application page had a link and it took my to my acceptance letter. Advice; stay on top of admissions! I called them 2 days ago and asked whats up, I submitted my application in feb. They said its under review. The next day I got an email from admissions asking for an updated transcript. When I applied in Feb, I was still taking A&P 2 and nutrition. Once the semester ended (around May 2nd) I immediately upload AND emailed unofficial transcripts, then mailed the official ones. Why are you asking for transcripts when I sent updated ones 2 weeks ago? Emailed her the transcripts, next day got accepted. Long story short I feel admissions needs to step up their game, call them and make sure they know who you are. Ask whats going on. I wish everyone the best of luck, I know how much this means to us and how much we sacrifice to pursue this dream. As far as my background:
-Graduated Rutgers Bio major 3.25 GPA in 2014
-Took all the pre-reqs starting Summer 2018, got A's on them all (Some of the pre-reqs I retook to demonstrate conviction, despite already having taken it in undergrad with a good grade)
-Serve as Commissioned Officer in Army National Guard/Combat Veteran
-Worked for Weill Cornell Medical College (Radiology) as a patient coordinator for almost 4 years.
Never give up, good luck to you all.
@DinoRad23 congratulations! I'm glad someone got good news today. Thank you for the detailed summary of your stats.

Would like to get the correct or direct number as well ...
If anything I’ll try NYU admission/transfer phone number on Monday and let you know what they tell me!

That is just ridiculous! Other schools already have the ball rolling with all the requirements needed for the fall academic year and they are still are working on decisions? They should've started this a long time ago. CMSV deadline is July 1st and they already have orientation set up for this month. As prestigious this school is I'm disappointed.

I called and they told me I should expect to hear a decision within the next few weeks. They told me that I can also email [email protected].

I was one of the first people to hear a decision somehow but I’m sure they get well over a thousand applications and I was told as people decline they send out more decisions so that’s why it’s such a long process. don’t give up hope though!

Yeah I’m sure they’ll still send out acceptances in the next two weeks. There’re ppl who didn’t accept their spots
