Hi guys! Thought I'd make a forum for NYU's ABSN Program for fall 2020.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Alexis Paige. Currently in California. I received my BA in psych from a private university with a GPA below 3.0. Took pre-reqs in multiple community college while working. Ended up with the same GPA as undergrad ?
Here's my stats:
Anatomy: C (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Physio: A-
Microbio: C+ (planning to retake in spring 2020)
Chem for health sciences: C+
Nutrition: A
Stats: C
Lifespan dev: B
Volunteer experience at Stanford University. Do you think I have chance with NYU? I feel like my only hope in getting in are the letter of recs + personal essay.
Feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. What are your stats? Where are you from and what other schools will you be applying at? Help a sistah out!

If you have the time, can you plz share your stats? (Sorry, I feel like a broken record, but I’m hoping I still have a chance).
Thanks!
I graduated December 2019 with a degree in Human Biology. Had a 3.4 cumulative GPA & 3.4 prereq GPA, including one C in my prereqs! Worked on a mother baby unit as a tech for 8 months, was the secretary of the Pre-Med fraternity on campus, founded a fundraising club for pediatric cancer (had other leadership opportunities as well). I also was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honor society & Omicron Delta Kappa honor society, so I had a lot on my resume. My essay definitely was not the strongest at ALL, I remember typing it and just submitting it because I was just over it (which was risky, I know LOL).

I haven’t gotten an email yet! Just was checking my portal as I usually do.

just Google nyu albert and the website will come up, you log in with the same information as your application portal page and if you’re accepted it’ll give you the option to accept or decline. and if they haven’t made a decision yet it shows you a link to go to your application status page.
Hi everyone,
I have been lurking for a while and I first want to say congratulations to everyone who has received an acceptance. I also want to say good luck and do not give up hope if you have not received an acceptance today.
I got my acceptance letter today at 4:05 pm. I am a NY resident (born and raised baby). My application was completed on 2/28/20. I had my transcripts mailed before COVID nation attacked. I received a B.S. in health science w/ a psych minor in 2019. Graduated magna cum laude. I applied as a transfer completing prereqs. I still have to complete nutrition and Microbiology. I will join the official program in Spring 2021. The prereqs that I do have are A's with one B. My personal statement was decent, imo. I actually took a risk and did not apply with any letters of recommendation. I have been working in healthcare for about 2 years now with the majority of that experience in the operating room.
My checklist did NOT disappear. I checked the portal last night and everything was still there (update prereqs, etc.).
I hope this was helpful. I am open to any questions you may have. Did anyone who got accepted so far apply for financial aid and receive anything?
