NYU ABSN Spring 2021

Published

Hi all. I'm starting a forum for NYU Spring 2021. I know the application goes live soon so might as well make one now.

I applied for Fall 2020 but didn't get in so I'm applying for the second time. Good luck to us all!

for those that applied non accelerated, did you do so from the start? I am wondering on the chance that I get denied from the accelerated, if I can go that route? thanks!

I initially applied accelerated but then decided to switch the app to non accelerated because im not sure if my chem and stats expired and I am also taking two pre reqs right now. I was wondering if they accept all those if I can go into the accelerated. So basically, im wondering the same thing as you except vice versa haha

Have you asked them if your chem and stats are accepted or expired? I think that would be important to find out so that you can figure out if you need to update your application type. How are you doing in the 2 pre-reqs?

thats super nice of you. will you be nice enough to tell us how was your experience in the program?

I have no regrets but I think your experience will largely depend on what you plan to get out of the program.  In general, the professors and administration are incredibly supportive and want students to succeed.  Yes, you are paying a lot of money but NYU has a lot of influence.  One thing to consider is that despite COVID lockdowns, the school managed to get us through the full semester packed with clinical placements in excellent facilities in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

I dk if this is against the allnurses rules to post this here but I have an NYU purple scrub top and bottom to give away to any incoming student who wants it.  It's size small (unisex) so it runs big.  Both are in good shape and will get you through the semester.

I also have white reebok sneakers size 7.    Just throw it in the wash. https://www.shoechapter.com/en/reebok-classic-leather-white.html  I rather not seeing these items go to waste.  Message me directly if you want it.

Thanks for this, I have messaged you about the details

hey all, so did they say that december 18 is the last day of acceptances?

that is what was told to me when I called a few days ago @futurenurse1999

When I called earlier this week, I was told it could possibly go into early January. There seems to be a wide range of responses in the answers given when you call.

Very true, when I called on Tuesday, they told me they are aiming for the 15th to finish sending out decisions.. when I called a few weeks ago they told me decisions will be going out until January 1st... so doesn’t seem like there’s accurate info about this. But hopefully fingers crossed there will be a good number of days left of decisions being sent out. Good luck to everyone still waiting as well! ?

Hopefully, we will get some good news today. Fingers crossed!

I hope so! :)

since people already got decisions on Monday, do you think that that will be it until next week?
