What was your ABSN program like? Was it hard?
Hi! Sorry for the late reply I was neck deep into studying for midterms and finals and forgot I even have this account. I can't figure out how to send you private message so I'll just post my response here. I am sorry you had such a bad experience in your last nursing program. I only attended NYU so I can only give you what I know and can't compare it to anything else. Overall I am satisfied with the program. I can't say the professors are out to get you because they do genuinely want you to pass and do provide aid if needed. They care about their students success and ultimately want us to succeed even though I feel like sometimes the work can be unfair and tedious. But they have our best interest in mind. If you put in the work, it will show in your grades. Many students have trouble finding the price tag worth it though because it is a huge commitment. However, I find that it is because I do not have anything else I want to do and I know I am investing in my future. So that will be something you have to determine on your own. As for school work, so far it is about 2-3 exams per class. Some classes only have a midterm and a final but it depends. Some classes also have weekly quizzes to test if you have done the reading and are coming to class prepared. As for ATI, NYU gives them to you, so you will have access to many test questions to practice for your NCLEX. They also assign work on the ATI as well that goes towards your grade. They have simulation labs where you practice on dummies for your clinical skills and also have OFF CAMPUS clinicals in NYU LANGONE hospitals (only because of covid they're limited the range of facilities we can complete our hours in). You have to maintain a 73 or higher in all classes to move on. It is a tough and stressful program but its organized to the best of its ability. As long as you manage your time correctly you will be okay. It was overwhelming at first but after a few weeks I got used to it and it was fine. IDK if this helped, lmk if you have any other questions

@nursingiscool123I will most likely attend NYU. Tuition is insane but I have heard good things about the program by multiple people so lets see how it goes! I guess if this is really what you want to be nothing else really matters. It rings true for me anyways I understand that some people can't justify the price because it takes one SHINY *** PENNY. I just want to complete a program (no matter which) as quickly as I can so I could start doing something I have passion for. Didn't have the luxury of choosing between schools so I'm counting my lucky stars this will work out. Hope if does for everyone here too! This thread seems extremely passionate and has helped me through a lot of my questions and anxiety so I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you!

I attended an information session about Financial Aid and unfortunately CSS does not offer aid to the Accelerated program. Correct me if I'm wrong though but that's what I got from the zoom info session.
