NYU ABSN Spring 2021

Hi all. I'm starting a forum for NYU Spring 2021. I know the application goes live soon so might as well make one now.

I applied for Fall 2020 but didn't get in so I'm applying for the second time. Good luck to us all!

I did because they didn’t accept my nutrition class but I haven’t heard anything back from them yet.

@Alae M ugh its an annoying waiting game . I know pretty much everyone here is for accelerated but I havent seen anyone say they got accepted for non accelerated

I applied for non accelerated because I still have 2 pre reqs IP and wasn't sure about some of my other ones since I took them a long time ago. Still have no heard anything back.

I wonder if we fall under a different date or time when they send out acceptance. The anxiety is killing me already.

Hmm im not really sure - I would assume its the same since its the same dept?!

do you mind telling me when you applied, your pre req grades and overall GPA??

Sure! I submitted my application on September 14th. My pre-req grades are as follows:

Anatomy and Physiology I: A

Anatomy and Physiology II: A 

General Chemistry: A 

Microbiology: A 

Nutrition: A 

Developmental Psychology: A 

Statistics: B+

My undergraduate overall GPA was 3.67.

I’m in the same boat as you, except I am waiting to see if they approve my other 2 nutrition classes. They were supposed to give me an answer by today ?

Good luck! I hope they do accept it for you! But did you try calling them today to see if there’s any updates? I hope they give us all a response soon!

Congratulations!! if I may ask, did you submit rec letters or do anything in particular for your resume?

Yes, I submitted 2 letters of recommendation; one was from a professor and the other was from a doctor I've worked for at NYU. My resume just highlighted my experience as a clinical assistant as well as my experience as an administrative assistant for several doctors.

@tellie2020 congrats! I sent my app the same date so at least I know there's hope for me and anyone else who applied in September

I’ve only been emailing one of the admissions counselor back and forth regarding this matter. But if I don’t hear from them tomorrow morning, I will give them a call!
