NYU ABSN Spring 2021

Published

Hi all. I'm starting a forum for NYU Spring 2021. I know the application goes live soon so might as well make one now.

I applied for Fall 2020 but didn't get in so I'm applying for the second time. Good luck to us all!

Has anyone gotten accepted with 1 prerequisite still in progress?

I was accepted and I have 2 classes, chem and microbio, pending.

I guess we wait another week.

Do you think they will release decisions on other days of the week?

I don't think anyone can know for sure. However, I can say that they started off by sending out acceptances on Fridays from 3-5PM, and then started sending them out on Tuesdays as well, last round.

How many weeks in did they start sending acceptances on Tuesday’s?

I don't quite remember but I know it was more towards when they started sending out rejections. The waitlist people were last.

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted!! Those who did, do you mind sharing when you submitted your apps and possibly stats as well? Lowkeyyy panicking though!! ? honestly what I told myself throughout the day is no news is also good news so whoever is in the same boat as I am and still awaiting a decision... there's always next week and the week after that and so on! Don't lose hope. ??

Also, spoke to someone from admissions today because I couldn't help but get more info, so the guy I spoke to told me that acceptances are sent out weekly (which we already know) until Jan 1st is what he told me.. so hope this helps anyone still waiting there are many chances left for sure.

I completely respect their decision to do so, but January 1st is an absolute absurd time to send out acceptances. I cant help but wonder, when do they expect people to have the time to make arrangements if they send out acceptances that late?

Oh for sureeee, I 100% agree with you on that one... even mid December is quite a wild thought. Everyones circumstances are different, especially for housing purposes AND those who have to let other schools know a decision ASAP.. and many other reasons. But personally, this has been my dream school and right about now its kind of kicking me in the gut??

Honestly me too. NYU is like a 30 min train ride from my apartment. I also used to take Chem and A&P 1 and 2 lab at Hunter Brookdale during undergrad, and the nursing school is right across the street. It's where I want to be.

My grades and experiences were "good", but I blew the personal statement. I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote it. I know that's what costed me this time around.

All we can do right now is hope for the best. I think we will all get our acceptances in due time.
