NYU ABSN Spring 2020

Published

Hello everyone!

My name is Kaitlyn and I was recently accepted into NYU Meyers as a Second Degree (non-accelerated) student. I'll be finishing up my prerequisite courses at NYU this Fall 2019 and will then begin the ABSN curriculum with, hopefully, some of you all in the Spring 2020 cohort!

Just wanted to start a thread for everyone to communicate on as you all work on getting your applications in ?

Best of luck to you all!

Specializes in psychology.

I guess someone has to be rejected:( still showing checklist on my page. and I am really happy for everyone who got in!

Go on google, type in NYU Albert login, login with the credentials you were given & click View Application Status, when you do if you were accepted it will tell you to Accept/Decline your admission offer! Try that.

I have not completed "FAFSA and CSS". Did you complete them?

Is it matter?

No, I have not completed and from what I have heard it shouldn’t matter for admissions acceptance.

I got in

stats:

3.4 gpa

3.5ish on prereq

interned/volunteer for American Red Cross

Hey everyone! Congrats to all those who received admissions, this is your moment make sure you're enjoying every bit of it!

I applied to the program as well and received an email earlier this week about my Microbio prereq being 3 units quarter versus the 3 unit semester requirement for the program. I'm so bummed to have missed that detail and I'm trying to get a hold of an admissions person to potentially reconsider the class being sufficient by looking over my syllabus and the topics covered (I took the class in a Pre-Med post bacc so I'm hoping they'll think it's enough ?). I haven't received a rejection but I haven't heard anything back at all. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of NYU accommodating this kind of situation? Worst case scenario I retake the class and reapply in fall, but I'm guessing we're all at a point in our lives where we wanna hit the ground running with our careers. Any info will be much appreciated!

My stats are 3.5 undergrad GPA, 4.0 pre-reqs, almost 5 years of EMT experience both in the field and in the Emergency Department, licensed phlebotomist.

I have not complete my last pre-req. I am taking now.

Did you guys complete all of pre-req??

congrats!

My BA gpa is 3.46 and MA is 3.64. Pre-req is 3.88.

I have not received the decision yet...

Probably they are considering volunteer as well.

Congrats to everyone who got in thus far!

Not to focus on the negative, but just curious if they are also sending out rejections as well?

Anyways, good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back!

I am going to decline as well, I have chosen to go to Mercy College. Since that's where I obtained my first bachelors, on top of that its half the cost of NYU's 100K.

Good luck to all of you. I hope one of you guys gets my spot.
